This was the highest scoring season Messi will ever have in his career (and it will take some fine finishing to ever beat this record) but as LPB won Liga, this season was far from the peak of Messi's career.
I'd rather have an ugly jersey which still looks like a Barça jersey than a (slightly) nicer jersey which doesn't look Barça at all to me.
HAHAHA @ Just some PowerPoint backgrounds And btw, now having seen the jerseys on manequins, I really like them both.
i already posted all pictures in the barca media center thread along with the article along time ago , doesnt seem people noticed that
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...rdiola-open-to-job-offers-this-summer?cc=5901 Pep open to coaching next season. Not sure I am buying the whole re-charging the batteries story now.
The news. But ESPN doesn't usually publish rumor stuff. How they inferred from the Pep quote that he could go to Liverpool or Chelsea is a total mystery. I don't know what to think.
There were discussing on ESPNsoccernet Presspass today. Gab Marcotti says that he never indicated that he could go to Chelsea or Liverpool. It is just because of the way different newspapers interpreted what he said.
I dunno what else is Pep expected to say. He's a coach and is planning to coach sometime in the future be it very soon or a lil later. Unless it's already a done deal where and when he will start (which I think is not the case) it's only smart from him to basically say "if you want me to sign, make an offer and I'll think about it". I hope he finds a right place for him and stays there as long as he wants. He has nothing to prove in a club like Barca as a coach at the moment, but could find interesting different challenges in many places. Some part of me wants him to return to Barca one day though, either as a coach or as a some sort of high level club boss - but no reason to hurry is there is will to live a while elsewhere. Gotta do what you feel is right and good.

he announced that he will take a 1 year break in New York and he already signed his 3 kids in leslie french school there after getting recommendation from one of his friends who is living there
The cool thing for him to do would be to start playing again. He'd do fine as a midfielder in a pretty high level league.
Shoot, missed it, I know the Europeans did not play but how was the game and who played? Very cool that Pep is spending a year in the relative anonymity of NY with his family, assuming that's all true. He absolutely could play for the Red Bulls I would think but that would defeat the point of taking a year off to re-charge and re-acquaint himself with his family, his youngest daughter was born the day he got the Barca job I read.
The Europeans did play, the South Americans didn't (Apart from Adriano). Xavi, Iniesta, Piqué, Valdés, Pinto, Montoya, Dos Santos, Busquets, Muniesa, and others played. The wore the new kits too and they looked great!
Yeah the kits look nice. 1:16 Valdes the best part. Btw, Valdes playing as a "both side attacker AND under the alias of Messi" lol woot?
Looks like the first pre-season game will be on July 24 in Hamburg as part of Hamburg SV's 125th anniversary celebrations. http://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/tito-vilanova-debutara-contra-hamburgo-1849001 Big year for Hamburg. In August the 50th Bundesliga season kicks off and HSV are the only club to have played in all 50 years in the German top flight national league.
Some key dates as agreed to by the LFP, still to be confirmed by the RFEF: -- August 18/19: Opening weekend of La Liga season -- August 22 and 29: Supercopa de España v Real Madrid -- May 8 (Wed) or 18 (Sat): Copa del Rey final --June 1: Last day of La Liga season (No midweek Liga action. Every La Liga jornada will take place on weekends. The lone exception would be if the Copa del Rey final is played on Saturday 18 May. In this case the Copa finalists will play their Jornada 36 fixtures on Wednesday 8 May. The rest of J36 is scheduled for Sunday 19 May, the day after the Copa final.)
No fixed date for the Copa del Rey final AGAIN? Really, this is just incompetence now on the part of the RFEF.
The RFEF (governing body of all football in Spain) has yet to have its say. Those dates are proposals from the LFP (association in charge of the professional Primera and Segunda leagues). My guess is everyone would like the Copa del Rey final to be played on a weekend date (May 18), but with the Europa League final set for Wednesday May 15 there's a concern that if a Copa finaslist also reaches the Europa final that club would be playing two major finals in a four day span. So they want to keep the midweek date of May 8 open just in case. But like I said that's just speculation on my part. Mind you, this is not to say that the RFEF is not incompetent. Btw, looking at the schedule I'm not sure where Barca will be able to fit in the Gamper. JULY .. Tue 24: pre-season (A) Hamburg SV ..
