I can't say how impressed I am with the US team. Granted they got a gift from Rob Green and his howler in the first game, but they battled through adversity that most teams couldn't have coped with the next two. Playing horrible, and down 2 at half, in their 2nd game, a game that if they lost would have killed their chances in this tourny, they battled back to tie the game, and deserved to win it if it weren't for a horrid call by the ref. In their next game, a game they basically had to win to move on, they get another legit goal waved off, then miss opportunity after opportunity to take the lead. Most teams would have been resigned to the fact that they would not win at that point. But as the last light of their setting sun fading they found a way to get the goal they needed to have. Are they a great team? No, not really. But in terms of heart and sheer will they are the anti-France of the football world. So far they are warriors who by sheer will, and panache, refuse to lose. I have not been as proud of any US National team as I am of this one since the 1980 US hockey team and their Miracle on Ice.

Kudos guys I am VERY impressed with your character and you did us all proud...
