i caught the end of the burn game after i got off work last thursday and while im quite familiar with the fact that yall have excellent supporters, it brought a HUGE smile to my face to hear the noise and seeing the stands rocking(i just came from mlsnet and it said that ya only had 13k-- looked a lot more) i swear at one point it looked like the entire west stands (or east, whicherver the tv cameras point at) was a part of s.e./b.b.) you do the league proud cant wait for ya to have a 26,000 seater also, nice to see benny olsen playing soccer again anyways, good luck next season, hopefully i'll be able to catch a game at rfk at some point later, jbb
I hope you do make it up for a few matches. Make sure to join any of the three supporter groups for the match. Just make sure that the Barra Brava doesn't pour so much alchohol down your throat that you can't stand up during the match. Sachin
Nice gesture. I've been to RFK a couple times and it's always quite an experience. I'm looking forward to trying to go to some games this coming season and it will be fantastic in the future when DC gets a SSS. Doubt that'll happen soon though.
Attendance Thanks Joe! Actually, I sat with BillDC for the first half and remarked to him that it looked like at least 14k, which is awesome for a Thursday night for a last place team. Looking at the official stats, it was actually almost 14K, so I would say that the official attendance was probably right on. Often games are criticized for over-reporting attendance because of tickets sold, but this time I'd say it was right. -Tron
