Hello all Hope all is well I'd just like to say thank you all so much for your continued support of our TV broadcasts this year. The TV ratings are the highest in the history of the franchise at the moment and have been for the past couple of months, so once again thank you. I'd also like to thank you all for making me feel so welcome in my first year in Major League Soccer. It took me the first couple of games to work out how american TV works (believe me its very different) but I hope you've all been pleased with what we've done this year on the budget we've had. Working with the different announcers was a challenge but also a great way to test myself out as a host earlier on this year, but, we fixed the problem bringing in Jake Yadrich, who I think you'll all agree has been nothing short of brilliant since he was called upon at the last minute. As for next year, we don't know yet. We hope to keep it as it is, but in this industry, who knows. I've not signed anything yet with my contract ending at the end of this season, but we'll wait and see, we've had talks and we'll hopefully announce something in the coming weeks. Once again, a huge thank you to all the Sporting KC fans for your continued support this year. See you all on Saturday on KSMO - TV away at DC United. Cheers Cal
No, thank you, Cal. You've exceeded all reasonable expectations. Hope you get something worked out with the club soon.
+1 I thought once Jake became your color commentator, things improved markedly. Making you work with a new person every away match made your job, I would guess, much more challenging. I hope you two return next season and will be here for a long time. The future of SKC telecasts looks bright indeed.
Definitely hope both you and Jake are back in the booth next year. It's been getting better every week. Almost good enough to skip heading out to the games entirely. Almost.

This, every bit of it. The two of you together, the chemistry is perfect. You guys make the games easily rewatchable. Can't wait to see you back next year, don't go running off to NBC quite yet!
Thank you for bringing such a high level of professionalism and knowledge to Sporting KC broadcasts. I will be very disappointed if you are not back next year.
Thanks Cal. You and Jake have done a wonderful job this season and really turned the announcing into something special. I hope we can get you guys back next year.
I have this selfish wish that you, Cal, would stick around for something like ten years +, and be around for several championships and I dunno, just turn into a club and KC legend. Though, I know with your age, talent level, and career trajectory, this may may be asking too much. Doesn't hurt to ask though. Thanks, Cal, and great work.
I certainly hope you're back and give us a long career as the voice of Sporting--as Jack Buck was to the Cardinals and Vin Scully was to the Dodgers...
I've enjoyed your calls... thanks for making it respectable like we hoped... cheers to you and hope you come back...
This is not an easy crowd to please. (Ask Peter Vermes.). I hope management takes note of the positive comments. Good job in adapting to TV in a new country, e.g., modifying your first game hair and wardrobe look. Thanks for contributing to a great season.
. . . and Denny Matthews still is to the Royals (43 seasons and counting). I am sure that I speak for all of us when I say that we will really miss you when we have to listen to someone else's call during the away playoff match(es) and (hopefully) MLS Cup final.
I concur with everyone else. Thanks for coming to KC and sharing your talent with us. You have been a refreshing change and I think you are the best in the MLS. Please come back for another season or 20.
Nothing but positives from me as well Cal. Hope you are here and the voice of the team for many years to come.
Maybe we could bring in a 'mericun' like say...oh I don't know...jack harry ..<<ducks>>.. We really need to keep Cal around for years to come. Anytime I watch the highlights on MLS.com and hear announcers for other teams I realize how spoiled we are with Cal on board. Thanks for sharing your talents
