Thank you for your all hard work for the past 6 years or so. I wish you all the best. GOOD BYE & GOOD LUCK!!!
Is this a f*cking joke? Wait. Here's a joke. Song: "Hello, Barcelona I am Alex" Messi: "Hola negro" Wait. That's not a joke. That's true. FFF Barfa, FFF Song. Screw them all and Up the Arsenal!
The worst part is that Song was such a huge fan of this seasons away shirt. Because of his love of fashion.
Yes, Alex, thanks for benefiting from all the time, patience, and excellent training that the club has afforded you, then bolting the moment you felt you were too good for the club. Thank you so, so much for that.
Well the day gets better and better...at least Spurs lost I guess. I still always find it funny how Barca supporters bitch about Real Madrid's spending.
i don't think it's a troll effort. as far as i remember ogadeni was a big fan of song, wasn't he? i'm also a big fan of him and i'm sad it came to this (him agitating for a move).
One of my favorite players to watch the last couple years, and his sale will give us a big profit on his 1M cost. On the other hand, f*** him for bailing as soon as he started getting some recognition.
Not that sad about Song going since the reported fee means Arsenal gets a decent return. He has never been good enough and will be found out at Barca. My only concern is whether Wenger will replace him before window closes. Bring in a real top class dmid and the club will finally have a reliable shield in front of the back four. We haven't had one of those since Vieira/Gilberto Silva's decline/departure. Of course, I expect that we'll need to pay that dmid more than what Song was getting unless Wenger can work some magic with one of the prospects from one of the smaller leagues. Whether we didn't meet Song's wage demands because we couldn't or since his talent didn't deserve it is an open question.
I just don't understand Barcelona's interest in him, when they already have Song 2.0 in Mascherano and the perfect DMid for their system in Busquets (who is only 24, BTW). I cannot see why they would want Song, who while vastly improved, just doesn't strike me as Barca quality. Oh well, as I've said before, I think Song was a middling player, but the coach in me loved his development from the worst player I'd seen in an Arsenal jersey into a forceful player. As always, I don't wish him harm, but rather I bid him ennui. I don't really care about him anymore. Hleb, on the other hand, I missed the minute he'd left.
Ennui: a feeling of utter weariness and discontent resulting from satiety or lack of interest; boredom I dunno, it does if I think Mascherano is better than Song, and more able to play a traditional DMid role.
For the sake of me, I always failed to understand why some in this board were (are still) so enamored with Song. I always thought he was overrated. Sure he was a decent player, made a lot of progress who became a good contributor at AFC after an awful beginning. But, as I have mentioned over the last year, he is not good enough as a DM. He is slow footed, lacks positional discipline and tends to be caught in possession and out of position. All are no -no in my book for a DM. He showed some creativity with his assists last year but he was becoming too much a show boat with his Hollywood passes. Finally since he was becoming, as reported, a nuisance, good riddance. Cannon, apparently, Arsene was still willing to offer him an extension but his wages demands were astronomical and way over AFC wages structure. Since him and his agent were agitating behind the scene a move to Barfa, I guess Arsene told him Hasta la vista Baby. Arsene still needs to bring in a DM Though. I have not seen too much of Sahin and can't really figure out what position he is playing. Would he be an option as a DM?
