TFC & Odense of Denmark were scheduled to play a friendly (one of two) today (Feb 11th) @ 11am.
Any news or updates of what went down? Final score, line ups, etc?

MLSintoronto reported a half-time score of 0-0 at the RPB forum. If you don't know, MLSintoronto is a very high placed source at TFC.

No other info was provided. Evidently a match report is expected to be posted at Odense's site later this afternoon. How's your Danish?

Perhaps I should add that the team OB Odense fielded in this match was a bit closer to their regular Danish Superliga lineup in compare with the team from the DC United friendly, because their Danish NT players had joined the squad from a NT friendly in Slovenia.

    OB Odense lineup :
Anders Lindegaard (reserve, has played 1 of 18 Superliga games this season) - Peter Nymann (rotation, 12 SL games = 671 minutes this season, though as winger), Anders Møller Christensen (regular starter), Mustapha Papa Diop (reserve, 0 SL games), Chris Sørensen (regular starter) - Hans Henrik Andreasen (regular starter), Morten Bisgaard (useful sub, 9 SL games = 570 minutes), Bechara Oliveira (rotation, 11 SL games = 706 minutes), Jonas Borring (regular starter) - Anders Jacobsen (reserve, 4 SL games or 27 minutes), David Nielsen (regular/rotation, 14 SL games = 785 minutes).

    Subs used :
Christian Kier (reserve, 0 SL games), Johan Absalonsen (regular), Srdjan Radonjic (useful sub, 6 SL games = 269 minutes), Jan Tore Ophaug (useful sub, 2 SL games = 101 minutes), Matti Lund Nielsen (reserve, 1 SL game = 6 minutes), Djiby Fall (newly signed, fee US$1.6 million, expected to be a regular starter).

Good to know considering DC United fell to OB during that friendly. I greatly anticipate the next friendly.

What don't you just say Paul Bernie?
The guy with the glasses and goatee in a suit that hugs mo at the last game?

He's is incharge of the business side of Toronto FC and gracefully answers all the dumbass questions on the RPB site.

Questions like "Are we getting grass!?" roflll.

    Poor Paul.

OB Odense btw also beat DC United (2-0) in a preseason friendly last year.
    ----

The past 5 seasons OB Odense have finished 4th in the Danish Superliga three times and won the Bronze medals once. This season they are so far in 5th place. As you can see below, they did a fairly solid job in Europe last season by eliminating Hertha Berlin and also quite convinsingly outplaying Dutch Heerenveen away. But this season they fell on penalties vs. the Czech Rep. Champions Sparta Praha (Cze) and did not reach the UEFA Cup group stage. Their best result in Europe was in the 1994/95 UEFA Cup, when they eliminated Real Madrid (2-3 loss at home & 2-0 away win to OB in Madrid) on their way to the Quarterfinal loss against Parma (0-0 & 0-1).

    The Odense squad :

Superliga stats of how many games (Kampe) or minutes the players have played so far this season:
    http://www.netsuperligaen.dk/VisKlubStatistik.php?SeasonID=2008&Klubnavn=OB

Odense are a very tactical clever playing, physical strong and all together a very solid looking team, but also possess the needed creativity and skills to make some good results in Europe from time to time. Especially their defense is highly experienced. They got very good wingers and are highly dangerous at all kinds of set pieces.

UEFA Cup results this season :
    UC Q1: Saint Patrick's (Ire) v OB Odense, 0-0 & 0-5
    UC Q2: Dinamo Minsk (Bls) v OB Odense, 1-1 & 0-4
UC R1: Sparta Praha (Cze) v OB Odense, 0-0 & 0-0 (Lost 4-3 on penalties)

UEFA Intertoto and UEFA Cup results 2006/07

    UIC R2: OB Odense v Shelbourne (Ire), 3-0 & 0-1
UIC R3: OB Odense v Hibernian (Sco), 1-0 & 1-2 (OB win on away goals)

--- OB Odense enter the UEFA Cup as UEFA Intertoto Cup winner ---

    UC Q2: OB Odense v Llanelli FC (Wal), 1-0 & 5-1
    UC R1: Hertha Berlin (Ger) v OB Odense, 2-2 & 0-1
UC GS: OB Odense v Parma (Ita), 1-2
UC GS: Heerenveen (Ned) v OB Odense, 0-2
UC GS: OB Odense v Lens (Fra), 1-1
UC GS: Osasuna (Spa) v OB Odense, 3-1

Thanks for the little history lesson :)

This was the line-up played for this match (post on the RPB board)

So I guess it started out like this

    ---------------Edwards-------------

    Hemming---James---Marshall--Brennan

    Wynne-----Edu-----Robbo----Dunivant

    -----------Dicho----Cunny------------

2nd half (with all subs in)

    ----------------Sutton----------------

    Smith-----James----Marshall---Brennan

    Wynne----Rosenlund--Phalen----Gala

    -----------Dicho-----Waton---------

I am a bit surprised that Melo did not play in this fixture and O'Brien as well....maybe he is taking it slow recovering with his knee or he could be hurt again :(
