http://soccernet.espn.go.com/headlinenews?id=314227&cc=5901 'There are many clubs asking for him, many candidates like Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and clubs in Russia and Ukraine,' Macri said on Saturday. ' 'Macri, who has turned down a £9million offer from Bayern, will not consider bids lower than £10 million, the Buenos Aires daily La Nacion said. A scout for the German club was at Boca's 1-1 draw with Banfield at their Bombonera ground on Wednesday, La Nacion said. Tevez, however, favours a move to Spain.'
It would be nice to catch this prize. Hopefully with Scholl back in the lineup we can start to see some results at this position. Ballack has not been the answer, and we have entirely too many midfielders as it is. The offer would have to be awefully sweet for Tevez to reconsider Germany as his new home. Munich will need to sell off players. Unfortunately, all will be "cup tied" in CLS. WE desparately need a strike partner other than Pizzaro (who as done well when healthy) for Makaay. Suggestions as to who to sell?
He would be a good buy for u guys but he stated he wants to go to Atletico Madrid-for culture and language reasons, and to play against Ronaldo in the derby.More at:http://skysports.planetfootball.com...D=&lid=10&title=Tevez+favours+Atletico+switch
Nope Sorry, never gonna happen. Tevez, his agent and the Boca guys are all a bunch of p u s s i e s! He isn't willing to give the Bundesliga a shot, he is simply afraid of the german culture and game. Frankly, with an attitude like that, I don't want him at Bayern. PODOLSKI BABY!
With Bayern he could play against Ronaldo in the CL not only nationally. But it seems he is so stupid.
podalski would be awesome - i personally wanted benni lauth to come over when 1860 took the drop... i saw him as having the most promise of all the young germany forwards... hes really racking up the goals in 2. bundesliga though - what about this guy - sasha rosler of greuther freuth? ive been hearing about him for quite a while - how old is he? any good?
thread-jacked from Carlos Tevez post in Boca forum: "Looks like Atletico Madrid is winning the race for Carlitos. PSV Eindhoven and Bayern Munich follow very closely. Those three teams are the only true candidates that have made serious big offers to Boca for Tevez. We shall see in January." Apparently PSV are committed to put 50% down on $13 million (US dollars). The stakes just got higher!!! Keep our fingers crossed.
I don't want to disapoint you guys but the supposed "next big thing" isn't coming to Germany. Thats why I dont respect him as a player or as a person. He is too close minded for german football.
We don't need him, Pizza is a great guy to partner with Makaay. I think it's time to buy a german striker and sell off santa cruz, zickler. Mike hanke, Blauth, Podolski, Asomoath, or even kuranyi are a good buy.
Yes, I think the majority are agreeing on Podolski. As for a new playmaker, I've got someone eles in mind and I wanna hear everyones thoughts on this. How bout D'Alessandro? He has already accomodated well in the Bundesliga and plays very well at Wolfsburg, just look at what he's done with the team since he returned from the Olympics. Imagine Ballack playing behind him!
Ballack is going to have make it in the position on the top of the diamond midfield or fail. The constellation is only minimally different to his Leverkusen days. A top player like him should be able to adopt to slight formation changes. If he and the club aren’t happy with how things are going at the end of the season, he should be sold. Tevez could still be coming. The club will want to sell him to the highest bidder. He can then of course refuse to go, but they cold put pressure on him. That’s why Cavenaghi was sold to Spartak. They simply offered the highest transfer fee.
Give me a break! Just because he is not coming to your chosen club he is "close minded". I'm calling bullsh1t on that. A player can choose wherever the hell he wants to play. If he wants to play in Spain it is his perogative.
Please, see it for what it really is. It's easier for him, cause he won't be able to adapt to the culture and club. Also, if he doesn't want to come to Germany, why lead anyone on?
[sarcasm]I'm sure he is personally responsible personally for getting the hopes up of German club fans.[/sarcasm] It is all a bunch of media banter that means NOTHING until a contract is signed. If you heard all the crazy rumors about who Real Madrid wants, you might come to understand how a lot of them mean absolutely nothing. Right now all this means is that Bayern Munich supposedly put in a good effort to get Tevez, nothing more. Also, I doubt Tevez has a problem with German football. As it has been stated Spain is an easier transition and fits what he wants more. Close minded would him refusing to goto Germany, and calling German play "boring" or something insulting like that. I personally think it shows more for Tevez that he is not directly chasing money, but trying to find a place where he will fit in the best.
Tevez seems destined for Spain. Whether he'll make himself the successor to maradona is anyones guess though. But the thing I got to say is Bayern need to get more from what they already got. players like Santa Cruz, Pizarro, Hashemian, Ballack, etc...all are capable of alot. Most of all Pizarro IMO. Just adding another striker/midfielder might not be the answer. Its a hard thing to do, but getting the most from them would make Bayern as good as some of the pundits have selected and ranked them to be. My Opinon: let Tevez go.
im really concerned with the way bayern plays with ballack in the side... the buildups are slower - he hardly has any telling touches - he plays too deep in midfield for a playmaker - and hes too concerned with losing the ball instead of looking for an opening to release a striker/winger... i think the management will have to take a long hard look at ballack - if he picks up his game by the end of the season - nobody will be happier than me... however, if he doesnt - i think we will have to replace him with another playmaker... many have come up with names - d'allesandro, micoud, etc... but to me, the choice is obvious... this guy is one of my favorite players in world football right now... - and has been ever since i saw him at euro2000... this summer, i was hoping rosicky would come to bayern instead of frings, and ballack would play a restricted role in midfield - with rosicky doing the creative work - and a bit of the spotlight of ballack imo, that would have been a brilliant combination... having said that, i am not unhappy with the arrival of frings who, imo is one of the most versatile and under-rated midfielders around... dortmund are in heavy, heavy debt (around $120mn!!!), and if bayern go after rosicky, im sure the transfer can be arranged... rosicky and frings had a fantastic partnership while at dortmund, and with rosicky deisler ze roberto and frings, we could have the perfect diamond, or a formation similar to one the czechs employed so effectively at euro2004... the only problem i see with this is that rosicky seems hesitant to come to bayern - he chose dortmund over bayern soon after euro2000, when both were vying for his services, and has turned down numerous opportunities to move since then... i only hope he sees things differently next summer(if the need for him arises)
Tevez and Ailton should drive a chevy into a canyon. As for Rosicky, are Bayern still interested in him?
