This is a great step for the Brazilian league. They have the economic base to support a great league. Hopefully other clubs will follow Corinthians and show some ambition other than filling their bosses pockets by selling every player they can to Europe .

British investment firm MSI headed by the Iranian businessman Kia Joorabchian has taken over the club and will invest $250 Million on it over the next 10 years.

Corinthians made a multi-million dollar partnership deal with a london-based group of investors. As soon as that happened, they made the deal for Carlitos possible. The main guy in that group is a close friend of chelski's owner Roman Abrahamovic. It's all speculations but I can see this happening in June or even earlier.

And Bianchi could be coach, check this out:

    2006? I don't see that happening. I'm pretty sure it'll be before June 2006.

im quite surprised by this, i mean Brazil? this thread started as "Tevez finally leaving to Europe!".....i was looking forward to seeing him with bayern munich or even a team in the premiership or la liga because he deserves to finally be recognized as the great player he is...in corinthians hes going to get the same treatment as in boca in the sense that ppl still won't give him credit until he succeeds in europe...ah welli hope he dominates the brazilian league enough to eventually land himself in europe soon

i`m also surprised that he is headed to brazil, may be this is just a short term thing and he will be off to europe, a few weeks back i really thought that atletico madrid was really in hot pursuit of him but it all died down, he did turn down bayern munich last season reasoning that he wanted to spend more time with his family, oh well , lets hope that his family does move with him to brazil.
i just think that he will be in europe come either the summer transfer window, he is too good to be playing in the brazilian domestic league.

Even though i'm a juve fan, i wouldn't mind seeing this happen. I really want to see him in europe, even if its with milan

Milan eye Tevez Thursday 17 August, 2006

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reports in Italy are suggesting that Argentine Carlos Tevez is Milan’s new target as they search for Andriy Shevchenko’s replacement.

The Rossoneri have already been linked with Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Didier Drogba and Vincenzo Iaquinta in their quest to find the Ukrainian’s successor.

Tevez is currently contracted to Corinthians and his name has now been added to the Via Turati club’s shortlist.

The 22-year-old striker has expressed his desire to leave the Brazilian Champions, after leading them to victory by scoring a total of 19 goals in last year’s championship.

According to the Brazilian newspaper Lance, Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani flew to Brazil to discuss Tevez’s transfer with the club and may offer up to £13m to bring the striker to Serie A.

Tevez joined Corinthians in 2005 for £10m after four years with Boca Juniors, also being voted South American Player of the Year for the last three consecutive years.

The young striker led Argentina to the Olympic goal medal in 2004 and was one of the most impressive players on Jose Pekerman’s squad at the 2006 World Cup.

Milan will now wait for the result of their Champions League third qualifying round match against Red Star Belgrade before making a firm offer.

If the Rossoneri were to fail to qualify for the Champions League group stage, their summer market would be officially considered closed.

i can't believe it. Tevez is giving clear signal to the clubs in europe, come and get me, still there is no concret bid for him. Milan and ManUtd both needs good striker and noone of them has ever confirmed their interest over him. really unbelievable.

    just cause you asked;

I'm not surprised. Why would a squad from Brazil allow two of the best young players in the world to compete against their national team? It's bad enough that two of the best players in their league are Argentines.

    We'll wax that ass anyways.
