Just got a Model 3. At first I thought, ok its a Tesla. It has that big screen right there. Cool.

But no, its a lot more than that. I haven't even had a full day yet to digest it and learn about it. But already I am impressed.

The way the air vents work, I've known about from watching videos, but in person it is just such a paradigm shift.

The new Model 3 has a screen for the back seats. Nothing crazy about that I guess, but for the price, I think its very nice. Can control the vents in the back, can control heated back seats, can control the front passenger seat, has netflix, youtube, and video games. For anyone with a kid, this is great!

The biggest "wow" so far is from the full-self driving/autopilot. I'm not even sure what it is called as I did not buy FSD, but this thing can drive itself far better than my Honda Clarity (which has lane keeping). It was quite amazing when I figured out I can push the right strearing wheel button and "bam!" the car is suddenly driving itself, and doing quite a good job of it!

I don't see how this can not be the future. I don't think any American companies are even close. I think they will just rely on Apple Car Play for the time being.

I still like the Tesla. Though it has its bugs.

What did you think of the We Robot/robotaxi event? To summarize it, Elon presented 3 new products: the Robovan, the Robotaxi, and the Optimus robots.

I think all 3 have potential.

I hope I can buy some stock soon.

I still haven't signed up to Uber drive yet. I need to do that. Then I can expense my Tesla as a business expense.

You might want to double-check that. It might only be possible when you're driving since you're essentially running your own company then.

It's why it's easier to expense mileage when driving for something like that vs expensing gas.

Yes that's the intent. To drive with it for income generation, ie business. That's what I bought the car for. I have another car that is my daily driver.
