    Hi !

Since we are obligated to let you all know how Wade Barrett is doing when the danish league starts, how about you spilling a little info on the San Jose Earthquakes !

Which stadium do you play at ? Capacity ? Average Attendance ? Club in general :)

If you keep unloading your star players to our AGF, then SJ Earthquakes is now formally my favourite American team ! ;-)

Could we have Landon for a month or two ? Please...

PS: Regarding Landon, whats the deal with him ? Isnt he still owned officially by Bayer Leverkusen ?

    Regards

The official capacity of Spartan Stadium is 40,000 but because the Quakes are so popular they usually add additional bleacher seats to raise it to about 43,000.

Here's a picture of the stadium. It can fit about 30,000 but for safety's sake they limit it to about 26,000.

About the club . . . It was founded in 1996 as one of the 10 original teams in MLS; it was called the San Jose Clash back then. Renamed San Jose Earthquakes in 2000 after San Jose's first pro soccer club, which played in the North American Soccer League 1974-1984. The team was very bad for the first 5 years, then won the championship in 2001. Plagued by unstable management throughout its existence. Average attendance has been lowest in the league the last 2 years, but is improving. Last year's average was 11,150.

Thanks.... Looks good. Average of 11.500 would be around the same as us in Denmark, if things starts improving a bit.

Aarhus Stadium is a 21,000 all seater... See some pictures here, if you'd like: http://www.stadionwelt-stadien.de/S.../Stadionlisten-Daenemark/AarhusGF/Aarhus.html

Wow, can you feel the love? With all of the AGF fans coming here, suddenly the cities of San Jose and Aarhus are like best friends. We should get our mayors to set up an official sister city relationship.

We placed 10 out of 12..... Not so good.... AGF have been in financial problems for a decade or so, but it all cleared up this summer when a rich banker bought the club, and invested 4-5m$

And, yes, we should set up a friendship city kind of thing between San Jose & Aarhus :) We could all go to San Jose in the winter :)

I was thinking something like that for the Metros. I really don't like the big, square block seating arrangements of the English style that some people want to use. I rather like this ovular shape better, but without a track around the sidelines so the fanse can get closer

Yeah, its better with the oval stadiums, but its hard to get the spectators close to the pitch... The two largest & best stadiums in Denmark are both "square-block'ish" :)

FC Copenhagen's home venue (the biggest club) http://www.stadionwelt-stadien.de/S...-Daenemark/Parken-Stadion/Parken-Stadion.html

    Brondby's home venue http://www.stadionwelt-stadien.de/S...tadionlisten-Daenemark/Broendby/Broendby.html

Noah's picture of Spartan stadium is very flattering. It is actually a confusing blend of 4 different architectures because the stadium started small and was continually added to. Here is a view that most fans see:

However, all the sightlines are good and the field itself is good, if a little narrow.

You can see Barrett on the bottom second from the left. He likes to change his hairstyle often.
