jan vennegoor of hesselink isn't so good and philip cocu is more defensive
    you can also say :

klaas jan huntelaar : great talent and scores great goals this year for a small club heerenveen he scored already 14 times in 13 matches some beautifull goals , he is probably going this winter to ajax i hope he will join the squad

romeo castelen : is like wright philips of chelsea is also very fast , but i am not a fan of him he is probably joining youth orange this summer

salomon kalou : super talent one of the greatest talents in europa , but he was born in ivory coast but he want to play for holland he is now waiting for his dutch passport

the dutch has a very good attack their defence is also good very solid i think holland is after brazil the best in the world

Cocu is a defensive midfielder, van Bommel is a controlling midfielder. You are overrating Vennegoor. Makaay probably won't even be called up. We don't know how well Kuijt will perform during the WC. Sneijder is overrated (although, he seems to be in form this season).

Robben, van Persie, vd Vaart, Sneijder are all still very young, but have potential. A World Cup does strange things to inexperienced players.

He may be but he can also score some goals

And sometimes it can work in your favour.
It wasnt the world cup but it was his first major tournament - I'm talking about Rooney in '04. If he hadnt broken his foot he may have been topscorer.

Also remember Owen was a kid in 1998, he did well also.

Drogba, Dindane, B. Kalou, Kone, Bakary, Sekou, Akale, Tiene, and others might have something to say about that.

And then there is Serbia who are out to shut down all these powerful attacks with their ridiculously great defense (only gave up 1 goal in qualifying!)

Ronaldo has lost a step or two
Adriano is a good striker but not better then Ruud IMO
Robinho hasnt done much in Madrid and he's very young
Kaka is good but also young
Ronaldinho I'll give you, easily the best player in the world.

So is Brazil's attack better then Holland????
I'd say they're fairly even with maybe a slight edge to Brazil.
But not by much, and we are playing in Europe which is as close you can come to being at home.

I don't think Brazil's distance from home is going to be enough to help the Dutch defeat them should they match up. It's not enough to have a great offense, the whole team has to be of one mind, and Brazil's talent throughout the squad can't be sneezed at. Holland is a great team, one I'm looking forward to watching, but I'm not prepared to say they can win it all this time round.

Doesn't stop him from keeping his goal ratio intact.
9 in 12 games so far this season with Real Madrid.

Why is playing in Europe a disadvantage to Brazil? Almost our full squad plays there!

Just look at the history books. S-A teams have won how many world cups in europe? If I remember correctly, it's only 1 world cup. Maybe it's not that the S-A teams are at a disadvantage, maybe the European teams have an advantage.

Holland have one worldclass forward(Robben) who is very injury prone and a few players who are also very good(Van Nistelrooy, Van Persie and Van der Vaart).

Argentine have Riquelme who is far better then Robben and Messi, Tevez and Cruz who are all better then the above mentioned Dutch.

Does anyone else agree with this cause I dont.

Not one Argentine striker can compare to RvN, not even Crespo
Robben is injuryprone but thats not the point, when healthy he's better than any Argentine player including Messi.
Tevez doesnt even play in Europe
Riquelme and vdVaart are about even IMO
Cruz is a good player but nothing special

    Other opinions please.........

Let's do this step by step.

Crespo and Cruz are about as good as Van Nistelrooy. Cruz would be a starter for Holland. Cruz is precisely the type of striker Holland needs. He can hold up a ball, score goals, and beat players 1-on-1.

Messi is more talented thenm Robben, Robben however is a litttle older and thus more talented so I'll give you this one. But Robben is not better then any Argentine player.

Bull argument. Kuijt, Vennegoor and Sneijder still play in Holland. Cocu also plays in Holland.

You cannot be serious. Riquelme is one of the best players in the world. I think only Ronaldinho and Lampard are currently better. And of these three Riquelme is the most consistant performer for his country. Van der Vaart is not even the best Dutch player.

Like I said above Cruz would a starter for Holland.

    That's just like superstition.

Brazil got to the final at 98. France won, but it had nothing to do with playing in Europe.
France just had a great team and Brazil played really bad at that game.

I think Bertje is overrating Cruz, but other than that, he's probably correct. To suggest van der Vaart and Riquelme are about even is absolutely insane.

I don't think Cruz is worldclass or anything, but I do think he is is somewhat underrated. He is a very complete striker.
