Hauler - that NewsNow link is a great one. In order to get a good feel for how the news reports work in regards to rumors and the like, I suggest you check it every day. Keep in mind, though, that a lot of the stories are rehashed in some form or another, and a lot of them are purely speculation (or just made up!).

I have and always will hate the San Francisco/New York Giants. I despise them and everything they stand for with everything I am. My level of hatred for the giants is comparable to any Spurs fans' hatred of the arse, which is one reason why I hate Arsenal. I consider it a favor that Barry Bonds plays for the giants, for the player and team I hate are entwined. I get mad just thinking about those punks. I also hate ManU, I am learning to have nothing but disrespect for Liverpool, I don't like Barcelona, seriously don't like Inter, oh yeah, and Hate the Yankees as well.
My extreme hatred for wetspam has now been multiplied b/c of the fact that they used illegal players, and the bingo clubs fans see nothing wrong with it. I really don't care for the guy for saying the Mexican team "sucks", but are there other reasons people don't like Landon Donovan? I'm neither Mexican, or a supporter of the Mexican team (quite the opposite, I hate them. The team, not the people), but I don't think any player should say that about another team, but are there other incidents involving him that I'm missing? I've heard he is a primadonna but haven't read too much on it, just wondering why he's so hated.
I can't recall any specifics, but I know that he's been killed in the Mexican press and by Mexican fans in general. I honestly think it's because he's the best player on the (hated) team that absolutely owns Mexico. There's also the whole thing about American fans thinking he's a wuss for leaving Germany and refusing to entertain ideas of going back overseas to improve his game even more. He's got so much talent, yet most US fans think he'll never reach his full potential by staying in MLS, and that frustrates them. He's the one player who may be able to break people's preconceptions of the relative inferiority of American players, yet he refuses to take up the challenge. Add this all up, and many think he doesn't have the metal fortitude to challenge himself and be challenged to the point of possibly not meeting expectations (thus the "Landycakes" nickname). He doesn't want to be a small (but growing) fish in a big pond, but rather one of the biggest of the big fish in a relatively small pond. No matter which side of the Donovan fence you fall on, you have to admit that the dude's got *so* much talent. If only...
Then you'll hate me Captsapp, I support the Dodger, Padres and Giants. Basically I support the NL West, hate the American League and don't care about the rest.
