Thread inspired to track the teams that will play in the CFU 2009 tournament. Puerto Rico: PUR1 - Sevilla Bayamón, PRSL Champion PUR2 - Puerto Rico Islanders, USL-1 Regular Season Champs, Post Season Sub-Champs
Early 2009. Not sure exact dates or the place the games will take place. Last year all games were played in Trinidad and Tobago. The top three teams qualify to the 2009 Concacaf Champions League. I heard somewhere that San Juan Jabloteh was the T&T Champion this year. Can someone comfirm? Who is the 2nd team? How about Jamaica?

Sorry Puerto Rico is Bayamon Sevilla and PR Islanders... the Runner up of the local tournament does not get a berth mcruic... could you please send me the pages where you got this info? Cause i'm trying to update my CFU Club Rankings list before the tourney starts.
The runner up, the semi-finals losers, and the Islanders were scheduled to play a group tournament for the 2nd berth for Puerto Rico. All teams other than the Islanders withdrew before the tournament started (issues with availability of players, money to support the Concacaf run, etc.) and the group tournament was cancelled. The 2nd berth group tournament for 2009 will be played next year with the same 4 teams, during the regular season for the 2010 CFU. The PRSL Champion next year will get the 1st berth.
There is no way T.G. is going to give up there spot for Harbour View. But I was hoping the Champs would get an Invite so far they playing very good in our N.P.L.
ja2ny could you give me the jamaican leages website?? I''m trying to update the CLub Rankings list that i've been working on.
http://www.golocaljamaica.com/premierleague/ I think that one is updated every week. Also try http://www.jamaicafootballfederation.com/NPL%20results08.htm this one is more updated.
Can someone tell me if the wikipedia pages are updated.. cause I've been browsing them and some of them lack information... especially... some federations are missing... if someone who has an account can update... they would have my thanks.
I actually edit WP regularly, and I came here for some info. -Is there no 2008 CFU Club Championship? Was it bumped to early 2009? That's my primary question for now. Once I create the page for whatever tournament comes after the 2007 edition won by Harbour View then we can begin updating data. If anyone here would like help learning the ropes of Wikipedia editing I'd be glad to help you get started.
Quoting myself from another topic: There may not be a 2008 Caribbean Club Championship upcoming. In the past it qualified a team to the Champions Cup which was played early in the year, but the next one doesn't need to be played until 2009 because now it is qualifying teams to the Champions League that starts in July.

I'm the one who made that list on WP based on this thread. I'm looking for a website or news site that can verify that info or give new info. The CFU's website doesn't have anything.
According to http://www.hexagonalblog.com/2008/11/jabloteh-repeat-as-tt-champions.html San Juan Jabloteh won Trinidad and Tobago's league this year.
Well with the results from T&T coming in finally... all I need now is the results from Haiti and Jamaica, and I got the 3 top leagues in the region done. Also if anybody has information from the Dominican Republic's Liga Mayor I'd love to get in contact with...
