Who do you favor to be in the final game? I've arranged the teams into two brackets to limit confusion. Pick one team from each bracket, of course.

    Bracket A
    Germany
    DPR Korea
    Norway
    China

    Bracket B
    USA
    England
    Brazil
    Australia

Well there are 5 teams in it at this point, and the world cup is actually relatively tight this year.
Any of those 5 could win it, and no one is a huge favourite anymore.

I think the Matildas will prove to be a great matchup for Brazil. The Denmark game will give them hope. Brazil's attack was a little off, and a bit predictable. Perhaps it was one of those bad games every team gets, but I still fully feel that Australia have a very good chance of beating Brazil.

    Based on group play
    in A:
DPR does not have the staying power to beat Germany as they have looked very ordinary in the last two group games.
China showed heart but little else.
Norway has shown lapses that won’t hurt them against China but will be exploited for several goals against Germany in the semi-final .
    In B:
Australia lacks the soccer sophistication to beat any of the other teams and they have used up their luck quota (along with some they have borrowed from others) So Brazil will take them fairly easily.
USA V England is a toss up but it really does not matter as neither one can match with a currently in form Brazil. The last game of the group was nearly meaningless for Brazil so they only turned it on from time to time.

So the final will be (I believe) Brazil v Germany.

The final game is a toss up as well with injuries and suspensions playing a HUGE roll. I would give a slight edge to Germany because of experience.

Look I'm not in love with the way the US has played and I dont even like Greg Ryan, who I think is an a$$hole and has taken the glamour out of the US team!! But u will not see the same US in the knockout stages as u did in the groups!! The US broom will sweep England and Australia side!!

My crystal ball tells me that on Sept 30.....Lilly will go out with a band and lift that WWC for the last time and the US will get their revenge v Germany with a 3-1 win!! Wambach, Lilly and Boxx will score!! :)

And they are all snorting the magic dust you sent them....Shame, because Brazil is going to sweep the group.

I"m going with US v Germany. But I haven't seen Brazil play at all, so really I know nothing about them this cup. Blame it on the time of the games, west coast here so its 2am and 5 am, and a lack of money for tivo. :(

so if Brazil advances to the final I reserve the right to switch my selection.
