I am an assistant coach for a girls HS team and am looking for teambuilding activities. Can anybody suggest any?

You can help by just pointing out good play when a player does something good when you see it. Do it out loud so the rest of the team can hear it. Do it all the time, point that good play out to the rest of the team.

It is contagious to the team if you do it. and you mean it. Did you see that? Ask a team mate try to get him to say something encouraging about anothers players play. Encourage them to prasie good play by team mates by your example.

Also if a player has a goal to meet or is close to reaching that objective. Have a team meeting before a game to help him or her achieve that goal.

Dedicate the team for that game to help a player achieve something individually. Go all out to help the team mate get that goal. Start off with a small achievement not that difficult to get at first.

When the team mate does get that goal you will see the whole team rejoice with that player. If that does not build a team spirit nothing will.
