He's still had a horrible season, what matters is giving those assists when the team needs it most. Against Inter he was not solely to blame but didn't test their defensive line as he should.

I don't think he has had a horrible season at all. He has done quite well all things considered no?

He is coming on nicely. Getting better with every game. Saved our season against Freiburg.

Not when you put his numbers up against what a player "rated" as highly as he is should be putting up.

Rememember, this is guy that not three years ago, Bayern was trying to slap a 100M Euro price tag on.......

Well we can't go by that 100m price tag, that's just unrealistic by anyone's standards and was more symbolic than anything else.

Ribery is never going to replicate his first season, circumstances have changed too much whether its within a team or individual context.

Oh god the "Ribery is shite" bandwaggon is here again

20 league games this season (3 in which he was subbed in late in 2nd half due to resting/injury/bot being at 100% and 1 in which he was subbed out early due to injury) totalling in 1517 minutes played and yet he has still produced 4 goals and 15 assists according to kicker which makes him producing a scorer point (goal or assists) about all 79-80 minutes. If we include Cup and CL (4 goals + 5 assists additionally in 606 minutes more) in he produced even better with 75,8 minutes per scorer point. That obviously is utter shite for a player that hasn't been able to play regular weekly football because of injury problems in the past two years and he needs to do even better. Good gracious lord

this has his stats from this year
15 assists in the Bundesliga this season and we all know how many games he missed due to injuries and most of time he was recovering fitness
19 assists and 8 goals in 27 matches all competitions. a goal or an assist every game and he is not at his best and bayern as a whole sucks this season

I watch all our games too, Rain Man - doesn't mean I keep track of it all in my head.

So, do you watch matches with a pen and a notepad?

I wasn't going simply from the 100M price tag. I laughed at that shit.

However, when you gauge what Ribery cost and what people actually expected of him in the past, then no, I really can't say that he's doing "well" this season.

"Average" for a player of his supposed caliber? Yes.

    "Well?" No.

And while that may not happen, too many excuses get made for him too.

I always admit I have a bias against the guy. I f#cking HATE him.

But I don't "talk shit" about him. I can usually back up what I'm saying.

What we're talking about here is perception.

It may not be "fair" to rate a player against what people "expect" of him.

But it happens to others all the time.......

    NEWS FLASH:
Bayern have found something Miro Klose is good at in a Bayern jersey!!! Who knew!

    LMAO!
    Lahm looks confused.
Ribery looks to be tripping Gustavo.
Gustavo thinks this is the greatest thing on earth.
Klose is all hardcore against the shortest guys on the team.
