    Hey guys,

According to IPNA tomorrow TM will leave for Malaysia with a few hour stop over at Bahrain. They will play KSA on Thursday and four days later fly to Yokohama to face Japan in their August 17 WC qualifier. They will return to Iran a day later.

The following 20 players are accompanying the team to Malasia:

Vahedi-Nikbakht, Nosrati, Daei, Mirzapour, Kaebi, Mobali, Kameli-Mofrad, Golmohamadi, Borhani, Rahmati, Taleblou, Alavi, Rajabzadeh, Moniei, Kazemian, Shakouri, Teymourian, Jabbari, Bezik, Nekounam

IFF is also trying to get Hashemian and Navidkia’s release from their clubs so they can join the team for the Japan game.

According to IFF, the National team will play with the full squad against Japan.
Ali Karimi(Bayern Munich), Ferydoon Zandi(FCK) and Rahman Rezaei (Messina) will join the rest of the team in Japan. Vahid Hashemian's (Hannover96) and Moharam Navidkia's (Bochum) presence is still doubtful as IFF is in talk with the clubs. Also Hamburg's Mehdi Mahdavikia will miss the game due to suspension.

Rahman Rezaei will not play against Japan.
He told IFF that he will remain in Italy to train with his club.

Guys what a downer of a game! Here is my prediction, Branko will be fired within the next two weeks. His replacement will be Denizli or (brace yourselves!) Jalal Talebi! Did you notice that he was sitting in the IRIB broadcasting boot?! :)

Denizli has been aiming for the opportunity since he took Pas to the 2nd round of AFC Champuons League. To be honest, he does have the credentials. Mr. Talebi on the other hand comes a lot cheaper and is better connected.

It is too bad if Branko is fired because he really did not have a chance to prepare this team. The England camp went to hell after the QPR game and the fires did the KSA game in! Besides, he has been saying all along (by not playing them) that reserves are not as good as our starters. We saw it again in this game.

    Hi guys,

I posted an opinion on my website about yesterday's game agains Japan discussing the fundamental problems that Team Melli faces. Most of them, I think, go back to our domestic game and football managment.

Anyway, here it is and as always your feedback is greatly appriciated.

Is there anything to be learned from the loss to Japan?

According to Irankicks.com Iran - Romania friendlies may be cancelled!

<Trying very hard to not sound like a ranting lunatic here!>

Guys, this is the kind of unorganized and unprofessional management that hurts us over and over again! Moves like this will make IFF the laughingstock of the Soccer world! With the WC only 10 months away TM needs as many firendlies as they can get. If IFF looses credibility like this, no self respecting FA will return their phone calls in the next few months.

    Hey guys,

This is not "news" but rather an opinion in the aftermath of the Libya game. As always your feedback is much appreciated.
