Hopefully one more goal before he leaves the continent after over a decade there.

Nothing would be cooler than Wood scoring a last game goal to win them promotion...

Cooler than scoring an own goal to prevent promotion on his last contract day :)?

Was Bobby an inside man sent to destroy Hamburg from within?

Either one makes you a bar trivia answer for eternity, which is really the goal anyway... So, it's a pick-em.

Nice! I really want to see Wood have a huge rebound in MLS. I hope this change is exactly what he needs. But..... I hope he sucks ass against my Rapids. :D

He's not coming to July 1st so he'll be a YA for a little bit longer.

He's gonna win HSV promotion in the last game (last sub, tied game, need points, scores in IT) then go play for suburban Park City and forever dine in the shine of his glory.

    You heard it here first.

He was on counter attack with Meola and Dunseth. Baby is due in early May and RSL was cool with him staying for the birth. Good interview going through moving to 1860, Union and maybe not so much with HSV except learning how to stay strong and not everything is football.

For a poor kid from Hawaii, he's had one heck of a career. 11 years in Germany, 3 of which were in the Bundesliga with 10 Bundesliga goals. Not too shabby!

It's a shame he never got to play in a Gold Cup or World Cup. I just feel he had the state of mind and eagerness to really perform superbly for us.

Bobby Wood starts again for Hamburg. So far, so good, as Hamburg lead 3-1 in the 2nd half.

Hamburg game finished 3-3 after being up 3-0. Might be an important two points

Unfortunately, from what I can tell, Hamburg fans are not happy with Bobby Wood's performance today. I think he had a few missed chances.

Of course, he's an easy scapegoat in a match where they blew a 3-0 lead.

Wood is not a scapegoat. He’s just a poor striker. He has no fight in him, no desire. He hasn’t been himself for 5 years.

He squandered two %100 chances today to make it 4-1. 1 on 1 with the keeper. Last game which Hamburg won he missed two big chances, the first by poor first touch control that led him to kick the defender instead of the ball, the second in the six yard box where he miss kick the ball.

He’s painful to watch. I don’t see how he will ever be half decent in football again. He’s finished. He used his big contract and can retire early now.

Shank it across an open net in the final minute of the final game to miss promotion. It's all he needs to do to become a legend, up there with Jozy.

So he was earning 3-4 million in 2017-18 and he was on loan at Hannover (I presume Hamburg paid lion's share of his wages). He didn't want a paycut despite COVID last year. I gotta figure he's got a damn fat bank account if he hasn't spent like a madman.
