Got 6+ mins in a 3-1 win as HSV go top of league (I think)

The guy just turned 28, can we give him a chance to sign with a club who needs some stability and veteran presence? I’m sure he has a market. I’m hoping he fights his way back into the 11 a few times, bags a goal or 2, then moves on a free, somewhere can finish off his career.

I wouldn’t mind that at all. Might revitalize his career and motivate him. Remember Herculez going on that tear in 2010 in Mexico to make WC roster? Crazier things have happened. Let’s see if he plays this weekend.

And I'm serious, not snarking. If a guy can't get meaningful PT in BL2, what makes you think he's got what it takes for today's MLS. I don't know what the issue is, but he's reckoned to be making progress this season based on 10 garbage minutes appearances - 90' in 10 games counts as garbage in anybody's book. Why would anyone think he has what it takes in MLS anymore?

I wonder how'd he feel about heading to Austria or the Netherlands or simply remaining in the 2 Bundesliga.

Well, with his contract expiring in June I don't think his feelings are going to have a great deal to do with it.

To the extent that they do, dropping to $5-600k a season is going to leave him pretty unhappy.

At this point anyone willing to pay him north of $100k should make him happy. He hasn't played in 2+ seasons. Any future soccer paycheck that's more money than an office job is a bonus to him and he should snap it up.

Where does a striker go when he's out of contract from a 2BL team for which he hasn't done a lot of striking for the past few years or playing for that matter? I am not at all a fan of MLS, I don't think I've been able to stomach a full game of it since it's inception, but even I don't think he's an MLS level striker at this point. A Scandinavian league?

Top-of-the table in Norway or mid-table in Sweden, but only after a trial. Bottom-feeders in Denmark

I gotta figure 300-400 K. I can't imagine he'd be coming home for nothing less.
