Filip Kostic (winger from Stuttgart) is having a Medical at HSV today... they're adding some pretty good attacking talent in this window. I think they'll be pretty fun to watch this year.
Kostic is a good player, one of the very few Stuttgart players to impress over the last two seasons of dumpster fires that that club has turned in: unlike too many Serb players I've seen he doesn't lose his shit when the team is under pressure, he just works harder. The fact that he and Halilovic are ex-Yugoslavs means that Halilovic will have someone around to help him integrate & communicate. A few posts back I was looking for midfield support for Bobby to play as a designated CF. Looks like HSV are signing those players, both of who are young, like Bobby. Looks good so far and the window has another 6 weeks to go.
Technically Halilovic is not an ex-Yugoslav; dude is only 20 years old. But yeah, this team is shaping up real good.

60' Bobby Wood comes on first his first appearance. He replaces Lasogga as the striker.30 minutes for each for Schippo, Lasogga & Wood.— HSV News English (@HSVnewsEN) July 29, 2016
They lost 0-1 I'll go on the record now and say that the first game he gets to play with the starters, he'll score.
I might be mixing him up with someone else but if my serves me right he's a traditional target forward. Bobby could play next to him in a two forward system. I believe Hamburg plays with 1 up top tho.
Lasogfa reminds me of the old joke about a club's "statuesque centre forward; statues have more movement." Seriously though, if Bobby can't beat him for a place then he's not BL1 standard.
Lasogga's old nickname was "lasagna", partly because he was never the skinniest dude on the pitch. Then, out of nowhere, the soccer world acquired a real lasagna -- Kevin Lasagna of Carpi, also a fairly hefty target striker (5 goals in Serie A last season, with Carpi relegated). I reckon either of them could shed a few pounds if they ate more carp and fewer carbs.
Bobby Wood suffered a training injury today and will be out for tommorow a friendly. #USMNT #Bundesliga— Leon (@usmntsoccerguy) August 2, 2016 USMNT Soccer News @Soccer_News_USA 5h5 hours ago Bobby Wood suffered a training injury today and will be out for tommorow a friendly. #USMNT #Bundesliga Reported as a "bruised pelvis."
Yes, hip pointers can be bruises to the tissue or bone (iliac crest, etc). At least as I understand. I guess there are other places to bruise the pelvis but maybe not as common? Don't know.
I think what determines his season is how he combines with other attackers and, in that, Schipplock and Lasogga are vastly different types. So, does Bruno go with Big&Small or will two mobile strikers provide for a better alternative in matches where HSV has to sit back and counter?
The hip bruise wasn't that serious...he's back with the team today. Das "Abschlusstraining" vor #HSVSCFC: Bobby #Wood wieder beim Team, @LewisHoltby auf dem Nebenplatz. #nurderHSV pic.twitter.com/mS6JoXiuWk— Hamburger SV (@HSV) August 5, 2016
