Because of Covid absences, set to be part of the 1st team squad for this weekend:

I thought he was normally training with the first team, but I could be misremembering. Does it mean training with an intent to be in the squad?

Yes, but it is driven by COVID absences.

He's trained a few times with the first team. They see him as a RB option.

It's either he normally trains wth the first team or it's just because of Covid. Which is it? That's what I was getting at.

i get the feeling there isnt a lot of cooperation in terms of booths management and bayern's at the moment....doesnt seem either side wants to budge and booth is being forced to wait it out so he can leave

Denmark is scouted by all German clubs and Italian as well.
He could potentially make it to BL1 from there in a couple years with strong performance. Aron Johannson did, Delaney as well.

I can't see anyone taking him on in Bundesliga at this time. Maybe there is a bottom tier BL2 club that might take him, but if he had right situation in Denmark (with regular steady role), that would be a step up from now/Austria lower clubs,
and likely as good or better than BL2 lower half teams for his development.

Gotcha. No idea how Bayern how deep Bayern trains, but I don't think Booth is really near the first team without COVID.

I also think he has the potential to be a pretty good CM, so the whole RB thing... it's time to move on.

He doesn't train with the first team. At. All.

Has to be because of COVID then

Love love this move for TB. Don't know much about Utrecht, but the Eredivisie seems like a level where he could really break out big time, ala De la Torre.

We used to watch a lot of Utrecht when Rubin & Agudelo were some of our top offensive players in Europe. (Not really that long ago).

The summer??? Booooooo. Go now young man! Seriously, I think on paper this is a great move for Taylor. A respectable club and a respectable league in which to cut his teeth fulltime. He will definitely be one to keep an eye on.

    Edit: Just saw this.....

I think Booth could really make some waves -- I think he's a complete box to box prospect, and aside from Paxton, I'm not sure we have another one who is at all polished.

Agree. Think he could slide in to the pool as our 3rd or 4th #8 (sorry Luca fans and Busio truthers). Let's pray that this move happens this window because I'd love to see him have a realistic shot of making the World Cup roster.

*Edit*: I also think Paxton could play his way into that squad spot on talent alone, but with his injury history...who knows.

Booth has an ITA passport right? He wouldn't be subject to non-EU min salary which would have been an a huge indicator of how much the club values him

Exactly. Bayern didn't just stumble on the nickname FC Hollywood for nothing.....
