    hello all,

the internet being the internet, it looks as tho the quote that was received off of orbitz.com of $230/person is no longer available. the cheapest i've seen off of 3 different sites is $400/person. that means we need to raise $800 total. now, we've had a few more contributors, but we are still short, so we still need your support. remember, charitable contributions are tax deductible. $5 or $10 helps, you don't all need to go $25-$50, so any help you can provide would be awesome. here's where we stand so far:

    battch $50
    LDB $50
    club quake $100
    ruby223 $25
    IBT $25
    ross f/ st. paul $30
    ken olofsen $50
    chris reese $50
    scotto $40
    keepit0 $40
    don gagliardi $100

    total: $560!

    only $260 to go!!!

    cheers,
    battch

    Battch,

I sent you an e-mail and a PM with my phone number to call me. I've got an option for getting cheap/free tickets for Tasha and her guest.

    I'll see my $50 and raise it $10.....i'm in for $60. :D

Remember people, this girl's wish was to see Landon AND the Quakes IN San Jose. She could have seen him in KC, alot closer to her home but she chose to come here to see them. I thought that was pretty cool. Maybe you guys could invite her to the tailgate? Stand in the Casbah? Bang a drum? Might be a great game for a new fan, there could be alot on the line that day.

I feel really bad that I don't have any $$ to contribute. If I had some though I'd throw it all in.

No worries with having no cash. Although if you have some friends that you could coerce...

They'll need transportation as well when they are here. Along with my $40, I'll take care of that.

You know, I'm thinking The Casbah section may be better than the midfield stripe. Any thoughts?

Which game do you want her to attend? If you want her to come to the LA game on the 21st, then you should set up a booth at the game on the 7th. It is just an idea.

I am a poor college student...so I can't contribute much....but I can squeeze a mesely 10 bucks from my checking account, I think. I'll get it sent out asap....

Also, I know you have connections with the Quakes office and such, but I am friends with a lot fo the players...maybe I can help in some way of that sort? I can surely ask one of them to bring her a ball out at half time...they are always willing to do that for me...

I would contribute if I had the cash, but I don't have the money at the moment.

i would have loved it if she'd hung out with the casbah at the d.c. game. but i understand the quakes' and make-a-wish's desire to put her in the middle section.
if she doesn't mind a little 'salty' language, my guess is the casbah would welcome her. they're great folks. ;-)

You are a college student now girl......it's about time you learned to spell the word "course" the right way for the right context. "Coarse" is like......rough or abrasive. Personally, I have no idea why "course" is used in the phrase "of course" so someone else will have to help you there. :D

PS- $10 from someone who doesn't have much $ to give.....awesome!

Put me down for $50.00. Can this money be dropped off at the Quakes office? I really hate going to the post office.

Maybe, we should overshoot that goal by another $25 or $50, so we can send her home with a nice Quakes scarf or jersey.

Hmm. A ball would be cool. Would it be possible to get a few signatures on an invite we could send her? (A card with players inviting her to the game?) That would be cool.

And what if you raise all this money and she is busy on the 21st?

I imagine she got a ball from Landon already, she did hang at practice with the Quakes from what I read. The invitation card sounds nice.

The guys come out with balls at half time, so she would have to come and stand by me at half time....and I can pre-arrange this. Also, if she stays after the game, she can get all the players to sign it for her. (they are the blue and white balls that the players throw out at half time).

Also, I LOVE the invitation idea!! E-mail me so we can get the details straightened out. But I could DEFINATELY get all the players to sign it. That would be NO problem at all. As long as I start the game on the 7th, I don't see why I cant get all of them. And even if I miss a couple, it should be good enough, don't you think?
Anywho, e-mail me, and I'd be more han hapy to help you out...
