AND it got cut short!!! I am referring to Saturday's Freedom-at-Power game, which was supposed to be live at 7:00 p.m., but was tape-delayed (without warning) till 11:30. THEN, to add insult to injury, they cut out half an hour of the game!!! Stick a fork in the league, it's done. Please don't add this to the doom-and-gloom thread right away, though, because I want a lot of people to read it in case someone knows something about this that I don't..........
That's nothing. FSW cut out the entire 30+ minutes of Silver Goal OT on the rebroadcast of the UEFA Cup Final.
Gee, the game was broadcast live, on time, and complete on FSNY. Maybe it is not the league's problem but the local station you were watching. I assume that it was the Washington station that moved the game and that station is Comcast I believe. Comcast is VERY well known to be idiots one step up the evolutionary lader from the garden slug. Get a real service like DirecTV or even Dish Network and you will have less problems of this sort, and better picture and sound. It was a booring game anyway with all the creative spark of the Lucy show
I knew all along that it was going to be tape-delayed, but I can't remember now where I got the information, though it was definitely mentioned in the Washington Post yesterday. I agree with the idiocy of cutting out a more-or-less random 30 minutes of the game. According to the CSN website, the game will be shown (in its entirety, I hope) at 1 pm today. If you want to complain, you can send an email to: viewermail@comcastsportsnet.com I've already done so. FYI, I have the June 11 and June 28 games down as being tape-delayed as well. You have been warned!
there was no re-air at 11pm, instead there was some college baseball...who the hell watches baseball???
I do when it overruns the first few minutes of a US national team match. I hope that our esteemed moderators will move this to the 'dum forum since it only happened in DC.
Oh, esteemed one I can't speak for the other moderator, but I won't, since the state of TV coverage, even if local, is relevant to the entire league but, as always, thanks for the suggestion.
Comcast won't be showing Wednesday's Courage-Freedom match until 1.30 am Thursday, then again on Saturday at 2 pm.
