Is he playing a double pivot with Busio, or is he back there by himself? Hard for me to tell so far. looks like Busio getting farther forward.

He should come in, it's not like they could do any worse anyway.

He needs to be on the Nats! Stupid GB!

I hope Busio gets bought by someone but playing in Serie B isn‘t gonna hurt this guy. He needs to learn how to play. He has tools but without regular time he will just be another casualty.

I agree. For the most part, I like guys who were in the top flight to stay there especially if they’re playing in at least 2/3 the matches and getting 20ish minutes per appearance at least. But Tessman is so raw and his ceiling is so high that playing time in the second division can only do him good. He won’t be forgotten down there as long as he actually figures it out because the baseline quality is so obvious.

I worry about established floor guys like Sargent and even Busio to an extent if they go to the second division and not light the world afire. Sure, that would probably prove that they’re never going to be UCL caliber but it also doesn’t mean that they can’t play in the first division. But they might not get that promotion again if they have a middling second-tier campaign.

Tessmann kept looking for the counter-attck springing long pass, and did pretty well with it. Nice minutes to help a draw for pride. Crazy to see Leal debut, and even crazier to watch Cagliari miss out on a chance to stay up against a last place club giving debuts to 19 year-old Americans.

yeah, this is just about what i expected. he got decent minutes against serie a comp last season (800, only 200 less than his only full season w/dallas) now with that experience he can go in and start building himself up against players closer to/even below his level.

the move was never the same for him as it was busio, and hopefully he can start taking steps forward now. if venezia were to go back up hell be 21 with a couple years in italy under his belt and ideally an big part of the team. its all in his hands, im pulling for him.

He's quite likely to be a starter since the drop right?
btw I know most PL clubs cut wages like 50% when relegated to the Championship, is it pretty much the same for Serie A clubs dropped down to Serie B?
