Re: Take the money 3 You're the one that brought it up firstly. Secondly, and in your wisdom can help a lowly person like I, how does your example with your child relate? Are you reprimanding Arsenal for the way they govern their finances? Through a message board? Are you educating all of us idiots? In America? I feel. and God Bless the country we live in that you can waffle on about all this crap, that you could have infinite knowledge and wisdom on this subject and it will matter piss all because you are a fan in a foreign country whos biggest investment in AFC (and I'm generalizing and including myself) will be merchadice and television veiwing. Even if you go to every game home and away and in europe and every reserve match, and have done for twenty years, what will stop them. Here is a better analogy; your a father watching someone's kid pee on the lawn. AS a father you yell at the kid to stop doing it, but he does it anyway. Constantly as a mentor, you want to help this child, but he refuses to listen and again pees on the lawn, again and again. You've had enough and your going to take matters in your own hands, and dicipline this kid. But you cant, because your not his dad he's on television in another country and his dads gonna raise him how he raises him. Whether we agree with it or not. But bitching to your mates about it, instead of the kids Dad is idiotic. Does that make sense?
Re: Take the money 3 why do we need the third installment of this thread when the second installment only has 52 replies and is on like the 5th page?
Re: Take the money 3 Perhaps martypants was using the same logic as the starship troopers frachise. "52 copies sold of the straight to DVD sequel? Lets completet the trilogy!"
Re: Take the Money 4 You need some quotes. He felt the loyalty we feel to unhappiness - the sense that is where we really belong. Graham Greene
Re: Take the Money 4 Since money talk always pervades the transfer threads, can transfer talk pervade the money threads?
Re: Take the Money 4 Quotes it is. Self-importance is man's greatest enemy. What weakens him is feeling offended by the deeds and misdeeds of his fellow men. Self-importance requires that one spend most of one's life offended by something or someone. -- Don Juan
Re: Take the Money 4 Except when those fellow men play for Arsenal and aren't as good as you thought or expected....
Re: Take the Money 4 what is "take the money" referencing anyway? like, if an oligarch were to buy the club or something?
Re: Take the Money 4 I sorta liked it. Not that it has any applicability to anyone on this Board or anything. I liked this one too... Delusion arises from anger. The mind is bewildered by delusion. Reasoning is destroyed when the mind is bewildered. One falls down when reasoning is destroyed. -- Bhagavad Gita
