On the bench. VFL visiting Freiburg.

Wolfsburg and St Pauli both lose today so Wolfsburg remains in the relegation playoff spot, only on goal difference above St Pauli. They play each other on the last day of the season.

I guess Heidenheim could potentially get involved in the race as well if they can win out.

Yea bad decision, especially given how injury prone he is.

Just assumed he was back on the shelf but yeah...even more pronounced seeing how he's been out so long and so often

I guess we'd have to hear what happened. if after being injured so much another player in practice tackled him so hard he thought he was trying to injure him he could have popped. I know most of us probably would to. Of course I don't know anything about circumstances but I've never heard of any attitude problems before.

Not much detail here, but the other guy suspended, Amoura, seems to have a history as this was his second suspension this season. The coach wouldn't elaborate on details of why Paredes and Amoura were suspended, just that they were undisciplined in training and deserved the consequences.

Edit: Says here they were actually fined as well, and they were fighting.

In a way I'm kind of glad to see that he's feisty enough to do this although without hearing the actual reason makes it tougher. Dempsey broke a teammates jaw in a fight during practice and he turned out ok.

cardoso is missing the world cup bc one his teammates tackled his ankle too roughly causing the need for surgery

it happens all the time (crazily)

    onyewu almost killed zlatan (supposedly)

chandler injured omar gonzalelz knee on trial apparently

    etc

simply "getting in trouble" with no details provided cannot be enough for us to pass verdict on a player

arent we supposed to be supporting americans here?????

Wolfsburg are barely cloning on to the playoff spot via goal difference. A win against St Pauli should secure the playoff unless Heidenheim trounces Mainz (unlikely). Even a draw could do it since Heidenheim is already losing.

    Paredes back on the bench.

He stayed on the bench but Wolfsburg won to clinch the playoff spot. They will face either Elversberg, Hannover, or Paderborn.

Match ends 0-0. KP was fine, but it's hard to glean much from his 10' of game-time since the game was in a frantic state by then.

That said, he did manage to draw 2 yellow cards from the same Paderborn player in the span of 1.5'! But with 90 seconds remaining in the match, the man advantage didn't mean too much.

All to play for on Monday.
