He got his knee twisted just alone, with a bad leg movement while training. Very, very bad luck... :(
    Hope he will recover soon...
    Morimoto, we're with you....

According to this article, he may be out of action for several months after tearing the cruciate ligament in his left leg. :( :(

I just hope that this won't destroy Morimoto's career. Nakata's career took a
nosedive because of groin pain. Ono's days of glories were ended by
repeated injuries. Kubo was supposed to become Japan's ace, but it never
    happenned.

That's all I can say for Morimoto's injury.

    This is horrible news.

However, Roberto Baggio had the same injury at the same age, and after recovery, he went on to have quite a career.

So, let us not lose hope: Morimoto he's young and he has all the chances to recover. He'll be back, stronger than before.

Since you are probably dying for info, I will translate it for you right now.
I hope you don't mind, hirayama.

TITLE Ligament rupture... "Morimoto is finished" TITLE

Local paper Gazett Del Sporto reports "Morimoto is finished. His left knee's
cross ligament is suspected to be ruptured, and his chances of going to U20
World Cup is hopeless." about Catania forward Morimoto, who got injured
during practice on 6th. Club is refraining from official comments until MRI
(magnetic resonance imaging) check on 13th is done, but Italian sources say
"It may be just a sprain, but at worst it could also be a ligament rupture."
If the case is serious, this will be a heavy blow against U20 Japan team.

Everybody knows he's talented, but these days people are rather sober with foreign based players until they produce something concrete. It's still early days and most of us haven't seen much of him at all, so it's more like we're all digging our heels in to wait and see. ;) I hope he'll fulfill his potential

I try to follow Catania's games because I'm interested in Juan Manuel Vargas, he is a great player and it was such a shame that he got injured before Copa America, peruavian team really missed him.

Do you know if Vargas would be fit to play in the friendly matches? If so I might go to the game in Chiba (maybe in italian it reads ciba) , too bad that they are playing against Yokohama FC but far away from here.

Hope to catch the games on tv, but here they won't even show complete highlights you know? I mean all the goals , usually they just focus on one player even if he didn't score. So I guess they will follow Morimoto all over the place.

Morimoto, seems to be a good player, so let's see what happens with him.
