Well, with the weather turning, it's time for a hearty menu. This week is the Cauldron Chili Festival. Texas-style chili (no beans) Cauldron-style chili (beans and beer) Vegetarian chili (for our vegetarian friends) Beans (for those who are just gluttons for punishment.. ) Standard chili sides, plus some awesome cornbread. Just to whet y'alls appetite a little bit... Got done with the first stage of the chili cooking and it smells heavenly. (The little tastings I had during cooking - clean spoons every time, of course - weren't too bad either.) Thankfully there were nothing but condiments in my fridge, since a 24-quart stockpot isn't exactly the smallest piece of kitchen equipment in the world. Looking forward to Saturday.
Maybe for future chili-centric menus some "Beeno" can be added to the end of the buffet?!? I couldn't attend last night, but I can't imagine the Cauldron was exactly a fresh area around the 70th minute or so...
