what time are people going to start making it out to the tailgate on the 23rd? I'm thinking NOON sounds good.
I should be there by noon-1'ish. However, if they decide to cancel the game because of war, are we still going to tailgate?
the hippies and liz/brad should be there early on... who's hanging at the thistle with us on saturday night? the hippies' caravan will be arriving around 9:30...i expect a long island to be ready for me!
yeah, i figure if we get enough people before one, we can start and others can join. the quicker we start, the quicker we're finished.......
I'm only putting one or two up, should take two minutes, well ten if I decide to stop and watch the Crewzers practice.
exactly. i figure the big v-army flag, columbus flag, the big ones along the lower wall and if you all want any banners along the top. "North End Light" we'll call this. the whole operation with 4-5 people will be very very quick. someone bring good tape. i have no idea what we have in storage, i'll try to bring some as well.
yeah, come out at one on Sunday and help. if you can't, keep your eyes peeled, we'll (hopefully, maybe) be going in early each game. if it changes, it'll be posted, but for now, if we're not under the trees at one, we'll be at the southwest gate, near the will call windows, south of the office.
Damn it Krypto, why don't you just call it Northern Lights so the pot reference is completely obvious? As for banners, I was thinking of making one or two this week. Should I just use some old bedsheets or what is recommended? Any ideas, suggestions for content? Thanks. Oh, something in spanish to piss of or freak out the Panamanians would be good too.
Find an SA/RA you know and ask them to "borrow" a couple sheets from one of the Halls. For example, before the US/Mexi game a while back, I got one of the guys in Deming to donate several sheets (enough for the real thing and practice). The sheets aren't as thick as some banner making material, but they are perfect since they're free... For paint, spray paint works fine. If not, I'm sure your social, or party dic, can help you out -- I'm pretty sure I remember banners up in front of your house advertising different events. For content, PM OGHT (Own-Goal Hat Trick). He usually has the funniest stuff --- albeit often times most of his stuff can't be used in public.
me too. stadium looks ready (and a few new items to boot!), rather not say what they are as there's an announcement on thursday and a thread already discussing it... the only thing that's not good about it is this rain we're supposed to get...ugghh, hopefully it'll dry up some before Sunday afternoon.
