The vote from the other poll had two finalists within 10% of each other. Here are your two final, finalists.

Vote will run through next 5 PM PST next Tuesday, 12/23/03, so vote soon.

    Please let this end.

Why didn't it end at 11am this morning as we originally said? Is Arnold running this place?

Oh, well, don't answer that. It's really just rhetorical cuz I'm having a *#*#*#*#*#*# day.

    Re: Re: Tagline Runoff Vote...

Why did it need to go to exactly 11? Were one of the other choices going to suddenly pull within 10% of the leaders? No. Was a runoff going to be avoided by the conditions we previously posted (top two or more withing 10% of each other)? No. Jeezus.

That's not what I meant. I thought that last one was the last vote. Didn't realize we were gonna have a run off. Apparently I missed that part. My bad.

It's cool. To clarify for everyone, in the first post of the last poll, I wrote:

If this poll is decided by less than 10% of the vote, we'll have Mr. Runoff Election, like last year.

And nobody raised one single objection. In fact, a couple people suggested runoffs later in the thread. But again, no one said, "*&%^ a runoff."

If it's so ridiculous then why do you keep coming back complaining?

Have a little fun with it for christ sake.

That wasn't directed at you. You asked a fair question, I answered it. (And you're too fast, because I had edited that out of my post immediately after posting it.)

Whoa. I coulda swore that was there a second ago. Dang now I'm seeing things. Now that really is ridiculous.

I'm being a pain in the ass. I'm not really 100% serious. It's just a tagline. Whatever....

This cracks me up...people are so uptight about voting for a tag-line on a message board. Aren't there far more important things in this world to get upset about then what happens on a soccer message board? Fill me in if there is, because I must be missing out on a side of life that I just don't know about.

    RELAX...STOP TAKING THINGS SO SERIOUS!

You seriously need to get a life if a vote for a tagline on a message board has your boxers in a bunch. I think it's ridiculous that you are so concerned and bent out of shape over it. Funny stuff.....

Tony! Take your own advice! I'm just being a pain in the ass to be a pain in the ass. You all are the ones getting worked up. I'm laughing actually. I'm in a facetious mood. I'm in my office and we've been really sarcastic and facetious all morning. Just calm down. It's really not that big of a deal.

I am taking my own advice...I can't stop laughing at how people are just freaking out over this. I'm not worked up at all, just voicing the fact that I think it's pretty funny. I don't see how that is anything close to freaking out....so, I can hardly think that you can say I'm worked up at all. I'm calm and laughing my a$$ off just like you.

Okay cool. Cuz that's what I was going for. Glad to see my dorkiness is making you laugh.

But you sure did seem like you were getting worked up. You told TSO to have some fun with it. I think he was having some fun at your expense. At least it looked like it to me.

But, whatever, this whole thing is ridiculous. Is Arnold running this place? :p

Nah....I wasn't getting worked up at all. Just expressing the humor I was finding in the anxiety this is causing some people.

And, I hope people do have fun at my expense. I don't care as long as they are having fun.

You thought the Gray Davis recall election was nasty?

Thought the San Francisco mayoral run-off election a festival of mudslinging?

Try changing the tagline on a BigSoccer message board! Jeez! :D

That being said, I think a run-off is a wise move, and I have voted.

This vote is a travesty. It's a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham.

    Let's take this place APART!!
