Not crazy about the language, but I agree with your post. Lazio is not a team I would want our players to join.
when the only option for our generational CB is resurgent lazio or the status quo of CSL, i go with lazio any day. doubt spurs are serious for him as a starter when they have 5 CBs already. you make it sound like it's a club where only white supremacists play and cheer for the team. if a player has expectations and plays like shit, they're gonna get abused by any supporters whose club is worth a damn in 2020. PJS and KSY surely never got abused by their supporters. if he has an offer from lazio only, but he stays in CSL because he's afraid of his confidence and motivation getting crushed, then it shows that his talk about aspiring to play in europe is bunk.
Lazio is considered to have a very abusive fanbase by even Italian standards, not at all comparable to the clubs PJS or KSY played for. EPL fan experience is incredibly sterilized, for better or worse. On top of that, no player as far as I can remember made the jump from Asia to Europe (with no prior experience outside of Asia) with a 15+ million price tag, which is why I doubt there will be any actual transfer offers from Europe, but I digress. Even before the pandemic, this is a pretty large amount for a club like Lazio, and now especially that kind of price tag comes with very high expectations. Fans wouldn’t care if a player ends up being a flop if they were dirt cheap (which every transfer from Asia is, relatively speaking), but 15 million? And why would you rather him go to Lazio over staying in the CSL? The most important thing for him at his stage of development is playing time. He’s not going to get better by sitting on the fringes of a team, whether it’s Lazio, Spurs, Real Madrid, or whoever. Ideally, he would go to a lower level team in the 2. Bundesliga or an equivalent level team and develop there, but that’s simply impossible with Beijing’s pricing.
yeah, i'm surprised at these european links. i think the tottenham link is silly and the lazio one probably is too, but it has me intrigued considering their emergence and the interesting 3-back system inzaghi has going there. i'm also wary of him not getting minutes in a new league. KPAs have been burned by this all too much. no bees, no honey though. ideally, he'll run out his contract (til Dec 2021 according to transfermarkt) and that'll lower the barrier for european clubs to sign him.
Yeah I hope transfermarkt is correct on that, because it’s clear Beijing has no plans to be reasonable about transferring him, and at 25 years old he would still have a chance to make it in Europe.
Benched by Beijing? Guess that’s yet another KNT player ruined by China then. At the time of the transfer I’m pretty sure all of us were lamenting how bad it would be for his career. Time and time again, we see promising KNT defenders go to China and have their careers and playing ability regress sharply. I can’t blame him for wanting the security of a big contract, but it was always going to be bad for his playing ability and the national team’s success.
benching thing was a speculation on my part really. but then they brought in his replacement already n add to that a year left in his contract...sure just to be bitter, they would shelve him cause they are a spiteful bunch
Considering Spurs screw up in transfers, wouldn't surprise me if Kim ended up in Leicester City. Jose is too obsessed with Dier to even have a chance. https://www.90min.com/posts/exclusive-leicester-to-rival-tottenham-in-race-to-sign-kim-min-jae
Spurs talking to Kim's agent. https://www.reddit.com/r/coys/comments/iy36xa/rumour_tottenham_are_directly_in_contact_with_kim/
At this point, KMJ should just ride out the contract and go back to K-League as an FA https://www.football.london/tottenh...skriniar-seferovic-mourinho-transfer-18986575
https://psv.supporters.nl/nieuws/artikel/47805/'PSV-hoopt-nog-steeds-op-komst-van-Kim-Min-jae' PSV haven't completely given up on him, though they said that the transfer fee makes it difficult. https://www.football.london/tottenh...ews/mourinho-wants-two-more-signings-18967989 Article from last week but he is listed as an option Tott are looking at, though obviously Skrinniar is first choice and signing him might close the door for Tott for this window at least. Window closes on Oct. 5 so I guess we'll see what happens
Speculations like KMJ moving to Europe fell flat. If true then let him stay until he becomes a Free Agent.
Ulsan Hyundai manager Kim Do-hoon has confirmed that Lee Dong-gyeong will move to Europe. Lee is being linked with Portuguese club Boavista. #kleague— Korea Football News (@KORFootballNews) October 2, 2020
As for KMJ, his "replacement" was sent out on a loan to another CSL team so that means he's staying, I guess
