This is the more important of the 2 domestic cup competitions in Portugal, and you guys might remember that Porto dramatically defeated Benfica in the SF last year and then won the title to complete our treble. I know absolutely nothing about our opponent, but this will be a good opportunity for VP to rest some of our international guys ahead of next week's CL match vs APOEL.

    List of callups:

    GK: Bracali & Kadu

DF: Sapunaru, Fucile, Maicon, Mangala, Rolando & Alex Sandro

MF: Fernando, Souza, Belluschi & Defour

FW: Iturbe, Djalma, Walter, Varela, James & Cristian Rodriguez

NOT CALLED: Helton, Otamendi, Alvaro, Guarin, Moutinho, Hulk & Kleber.

--So Iturbe and Alex Sandro both receive their first call-ups at Porto. Definitely expect Sandro to start at LB, and I hope that Iturbe gets a chance to play as well.

--Nice to see Sapunaru back as well after missing a bunch of games due to injury.

LOL yeah, I just couldn't get up in time for this one--did you watch it?. Sounds like Iturbe looked lively and active, Alex Sandro really gets forward well from LB, and Mangala had a solid game at CB.

I'll try to find some highlights and post them later.

    This was our starting XI:

    Bracali
    Sapunaru-Maicon-Mangala-Alex Sandro
    Souza
    Belluschi-Defour
    Djalma-Walter-Iturbe

Varela replaced Iturbe (46), Cristian Rodriguez replaced Djalma (65), and Kadu replaced Bracali (82). Fucile, Rolando, James and Fernando sat on the bench.

Yea I watched it on a crappy stream :p
Iturbe had some good runs and a nice through ball to Djalma who Walter scored on eventually.
Walter took his chances, but his first touch was poor. Had a nice pass on the first goal, and had some nice off the ball movement.
Djalma was impressive, and the attack really slowed down when he was subbed for Cebolla.
Mangala was solid, but didn't really have much to do.
Alex Sandro went alot forward, and had some nice overlaps.
