    Guys and Gals...

Suggest you check out this article by Tobias Lopez in the FT Worth Star Telelgram..

It is VERY insightful stadium news. All about the going on's in Frisco, more insider stuff about what happened in McKinney and other great stuff.

    Lots of information.

Is there anything on the Nov 5 ballot in Frisco related to this stadium or is it just negotiations at this point?

Let me call some friends of mine in the Frisco area. If it is, then I'll make sure they and all their friends vote Pro Burn.

my understanding is that there is nothing for the public to vote on.. The citizens have already vote for the bond issues that will provide the $$$, and so if HSG and the city can agree on terms (the hard part) it will happen

Wow Hitman, I hope you're right. I'd love to see the Burn in a stadium! Thanks for keeping us updated!

On another note, http://www.ussocceruk.com is reporting that the Hunt Sports Group is in negotiations with the city of Rochester. It sounds like, that if the Rochester Raging Rhinos stadium is approved, the Hunt Sports Group are going to back them in a bid for MLS. If that's true and they get the stadium, it would seem almost a given that this would happen. Then again, it's nothing more than a rumor at this point. Interesting nevertheless.

OR - the city of Rochester gets a stadium and a team, and MLS folds or moves the Dallas Burn, the only team in MLS without an investor/operator.

    Man you are a pessimist.

I highly doubt that a city Rochester's size could support an MLS team and an A-League team. Even more than WUSA, that seems to me that your are dividing your finite market into two.

  8. the Burn won't move they have geography on their side and a large population. You can't really have a league without a team in Texas.

And may add not only a large population, but also a population that is 32% Hispanic (in comparision CA has 32% and NY 15%) and supportive of soccer related events in key markets (Dallas and Houston).
Any league worth it's salt has to have a team in Texas. If MLS were to pull out of Texas, THEN is "Oh-oh" time!.

oh I got the impression that the actual Rochester Rhinos, were moving up from the A-League if they got a stadium. That would make more sense.
