Scoobs, I guess I should have reworded how I last posted. I didn't mean for it to be a personal attack. Don't take it as such.
1. Andreas Herzog--before he broke down--was dominant...for about half a season... 2. I did point out that other players could be added to the deal to balance out perceived lopsidedness. There's no position for Mapp in a 3-5-2 except maybe a-mid which isn't a position he plays. 3. Or if Schmid just isn't that high on Szetela. The jury is out. 4. I agree. How Martino comes back from his hip operation will be key.
there is no way chicago would let go of mapp, hes being raised in chicago as the franchise head of the future, if he stays stateside
you are retarded... how the fvck do you have both Metro & Fire as your teams? Mapp is not a franchise player of the future. His work ethic has been described as being similar to that of Martino, hence I doubt the Crew folks are going to want another one. Seriously though, what's with the metro/fire crap? should I support both Man U and Chelsea or perhaps Juve & both Milan teams? Maybe you're a more casual fan, at which point I guess that's fine if you want to go that route, but then you have little authority to say much about team players.
Oh sure. No problem. Anyone else you'd like everyone to neg rep fro you while we're at it? The other guy comes around occasionally and has never been annoying so nobody minds. You on the other hand strike me as a douchebag.
Oh, so now you neg rep ME? You are a piece of work. I'm certain all your "mutual freinds" on the F*re and the Filth and all your "authority" and your "insight" is just stunning, but around here you're just a garden variety jackass.
did you start namecalling, for no aparent reason? well im out of here, before i get myself into any more arguments
Ives has been wrong about Szetela so many times, it's not even funny... But speaking to JoeW's post: Why do DCU fans have this insane [and baseless] ardor for Justin Crapp? Correct! We in Chicago don't know this for sure, as we've never actually seen him run for more than 5 strides at a time. Correct, but he's been a professional for 4 years, and he still spends more time daydreaming/wondering if that clover on the ground has 3 or 4 leaves than actually playing. Huh?? What games have you been watching? Correct! I'd do a trade of Mapp-for-Szetela every day, and twice on match day. What, as a flatliner? Szetela would probably have to suffer a massive coronary, shyte his pants, and then faint to have the same kind of work rate off the ball as Justin Crapp. Yes, but none as good as Szetela might be. Who on Chicago's roster can be better in 2K6 and beyond: Buete? Marsch? Armas? I think Chicago would trade Crapp for Szetela in a heartbeat. Oh yeah, and Ives is still full of it here.
I don't think Mapp is as bad as Khan makes him out to be. He took over a couple of matches last year and played well vs the Crew. I didn't see that many F*re matches so maybe he sucked the rest of the time. I would not expect K-mart to be our A-mid this season. It's been tried for long enough without success that he's more likely to be seen on the right wing or perhaps coming off the bench at forward. I wouldn't be surprised if Kyle were traded around the time of the superdraft.
gaven for szetela+ buddle and u've got yourself a deal. and if u need another forward, u can have razov. or sgr. or both, even.
I've seen a number of references over the past few years to Martino not being the same since the Cameroon game. If I recall correctly, hip flexor type issues--possibly stemming from that game--kept him off of the U-23 team. Perhaps Martino will emerge a stronger player after the surgery pushing his career forward.
I'd certainly like to see him traded. I say get it while there's still trade value in there. Although from everything that's been said, it seems to me Sigi wants to try his hand at Martino Roulette. Which is why if he's traded it won't be around the superdraft. My guess is if he's traded, it'll come after the first day of spring training in Febuary when Kyle reports into camp 20 pounds lighter then he was last year and shows Sigi his practice intensity; setting up the after-practice Bar-B-Q. The final straw will be Kyle's performance of his acostic guitar version of Ina Goda Davida that he spent all offseason learning.
