Happy for her and to see how pregnancy is dealt by F.C. Kansas City.

    What are your thoughts?

FC KC was always going to have an uphill battle trying to replace Lauren Holiday with Katie Bowen, but there was hope. It looked like the retired defensive players got replaced in the draft and Amy R. was replaced by Syd. However, now the hill is looking more like a mountain. Oh well, at least I now have the NY Flash to look forward too.

WNY made a cosmically bad trade of Sydney Leroux for Jess McDonald!!!!!

    Oh, wait a minute...

I'm happy for Syd -- and for Jess too. And for Shea Groom who suddenly is KC's No. l striker....

Congrats to her and Dom! I know starting a family is something she's said she wanted to do (anyone else remember that Reign video with Rapinoe?).

But d@mn the timing for FCKC...

As for the WNT, she hasn't played since the WWC and didn't really get a ton of minutes outside of the group stage anyway. But now I'm really hoping Morgan or Press don't get injured (especially considering Morgan's injury-prone history)!

She did have that lingering injury and then surgery on her right ankle in July after WWC.

Yes, I meant that more to say that the team has done fine without her, not to say that Ellis just hasn't given her playing time, like Engen. Sorry for the poor wording.
