Unfortunetly there are a lot of anti-semites in Switzerland. A lot is because of the one-sided reporting in the Swiss press. But they didn't let them on the field on purpose that's for sure. The folks that catched them and handled them very rough btw once they cought them - which is fine with me - were no professional security people but volunteer stewards. The question should be asked is why there were no professional security people in the stadium.

And kudos to those Swiss supporters that sat near the gate between block C and D where the gate was where the wackos were escorted out of the stadium. Together with some Israel supporters they actually joined in on beating the scum with sticks and fists out of the stadium :).

Oh how opinions vary, I consider the "one-sided" press fairly objective. The Palestinian situation is far from ideal and you know that as well.

Sorry, I forget, anything remotely critical is anti-semitism.

Vogel: Jews suffered, so Israel deserves spot at Germany
    By Ouriel Daskal

When asked, after his team's 1-1 draw against Israel in Basel on Saturday, which team deserved a place at the 2006 World Cup Finals in Germany, Switzerland and AC Milan midfielder Johann Vogel did not hesitate. "From a historical perspective, Israel deserves to advance to the World Cup in Germany," Vogel told Emmanuel Sarricini of Swiss wire service Sports Informatzion.

"Israel represents the Jews and the Jews suffered in the Holocaust because of Germany. Therefore they deserve a place at the World Cup in Germany. "It would be important for Israel and for soccer," he said....

So the Swiss tied at home...so whats the reason? Oo yea i forgot...the WC is in Germany and the jews suffered there so much...so they deserved it anyway..no biggie, right? :D

I hope that when the Euro is in Austira/Switzerland we will qualify like that as well, since many of our assets suffered at the hands of the swiss...

I wonder what did the Mexicans did to the jews in 1970 and what did the Horrible Canadians do in 1976 in order to gain a spot in the olympics...

    rubbish swiss talks!
