FCZ lost 3-2 to Qarabag on Tuesday. The FCZ defense looked just like they had against YB. Not strong. 27 July is the return match in Zurich.
FCZ drew at home - out of the Champions League YB won 3-0 over Liepaja - They will now play Kuopion Palloseura of Finland. Basel drew 1-1 with Crusaders FC in Belfast and advanced to play Brondby of Denmark. Vaduz drew 1-1 with Koper to advance to play Konyaspor of Turkey. FCZ won 2-0 at Linfield of Northern Ireland. Young Boys won 2-0 at Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) of Finland. Lugano lost 2-0 hosting Hapoel Be'er Sheva of Israel. Basel, who has the best coefficient of the 64 clubs in the round, lost 1-0 at Brondby of Denmark. Vaduz allowed an 88th minute equalizer in a 1-1 hosting Konyaspor of Turkey.
I think that Basel will turn it around at home. The fact that FCZ won is quite amazing. YB should be able to secure qualification at home. Too bad for Vaduz. That home win would have been great.
Vaduz impressed with a 4-2 win at Konyaspot of Turkey to win the aggregate 5-3. Hapoel Be'er Sheva of Israel won 3-1 hosting Lugano to win the aggregate 5-1. Lugano had two penalty kicks and scored the second time. They also scored an own goal. Basel scored twice and Brondby scored once from the 40th through 45+5th, and there were no more goals through 120 to make each game be a 2-1 home win. Zurich (7.000) won 2-1 hosting Hearts of Scotland (7.380). Basel (55.000) lost 1-0 at CSKA Sofia of Bulgaria (10.500). Young Boys (37.000) lost 1-0 hosting Anderlecht of Belgium (11.500). Vaduz (6.500) got a 1-1 hosting Rapid Vienna (16.000). Basel and Young Boys will be among the top four coefficieints in the Group Stage if they make it.
I think that Basel will do fine next week at home. YB will have its work cut out for them in Brussles. Same for FCZ in Scotland. Good result for Vaduz. Tall order next week. But it would be awesome to see them make the group stages.

Vaduz has 4.500, and Liechtenstein is the top country so far this season because most of the top clubs do not play in qualifying rounds. The highest so far by one of the top leagues is 3.333 by Portugal. Switzerland is ninth with 3.250.

FCZ @ PSV today - not much chance there. Vaduz vs SC Dinipro 1 - a win here would put Vaduz in 2nd place in the group, ahead of SC Dinipro 1. Basel vs Slovan Bratislava - trying to get a little sense of revenge from last weeks 2-0 loss. - A win would put Basel on 9 points out of 12.
FCZ - Bodo/Glimt 2-1 - FCZ gets their first win of the group stages. If they could win next round they could claim the 3rd place, and move onto to the Conference League. Vaduz - AZ Alkmaar 1-2 Basel - Zalgiris Vilnius 2-2 Basel in 2nd place, 2 points up on 3rd place team. These two teams play next round.
FCZ will be at Arsenal today. Not much hope for anything there. Basel at Pyunik today. Basel would not advance if Pyunik were to win. Vaduz at Appollo Limassol. Both teams are eliminated, but a Vaduz win would see them jump Appollon for 3rd.
