    First Week:

OK we will do number of correct and number of wrong. If you predict the match correctly you get get one in the correct area, and if you are wrong one in the incorrect area.

You must pick all the matches of the week. Since this is the beginning, scores will not count, just the winners.

I would love to join in - it would keep me focused on the week-to-week results. Would you guys mind?

    How are you handling draws?

Draws must be predicted. If you don't perdict a draw and it occurs the result for you goes down as a loss.

I think this week we will just need to do a practice one. I only put this up on friday.

Is that OK with you guys?

The more the merrier, go right ahead...
Hey! That's Super League to you...! ;)
I think we should go ahead and start, simply because I feel very confident about my picks :D
(We can still add people in the next round)

I also think that starting with the next round we should predict the scores as well and award an extra point for each correct score.

    What do you guys think?

No it is still Nati A and Nati B. I hate that disrespect of tradition...

    FT Grasshoppers 1 - 0 Neuchatel Xamax
    FT Servette 3 - 1 St. Gallen
    FT Wil 0 - 2 Thun

Tsk, tsk....an Austrian leading the Swiss prediction league? ;)

Maybe we should return the favor on the Austrian prediction league: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=96634

    Now that's kind of funny...

Didn't expect to lead the Nationalliga-prediction...
Could be that all the swiss guys in here could be better in the Austrian prediction...

    I'll go....

    Xamax
    Draw
    Aarau
    FCZ
    Grasshoppers

Yes, I know, my last prediction is probably a case of letting my heart rule my head but I cannot back Bastard Basle to beat the Hoppers, I just can't!

    Have a good weekend everybody.

FYI, I believe that my score from last week is incorrect as I only picked 2 matches correctly - GCZ and Basel. (I also picked two draws which did not occur). Therefore, I would say I should be at only 6 points.

I guess we're not doing exact scores yet (not that I needed any further evidence of my inability to predict the outcome of soccer matches!)

    Week 2

    Xamax
    Young Boys
    Thun - Aarau DRAW
    Zürich - Servette DRAW
    Basel

Just like EnglishHoppersfan, I have to go with my heart on the last pick, but then again Basel is long overdue for a beating...

    EnglishHoppersfan 13 points
IASOCFan 13 points (I gave our dear moderator the lowest point total from the first round to compensate for not picking in the first round)

    Dave141 10 points
    RobtheAggie: 10 points

If you picked a team and the match ended in a draw you recieve one point. If you pick a draw and the is a winner, you recieve no points.

But there'll be some surprises I can't be figuring out. I don't know the Nati A that well. I don't know most of the clubs circumstances...

You can always check the Super League thread for the league table and other info (not that you seem to be needing it.)

I sure laid an egg this weekend with my predictions. I was counting on St. Gallen's home strength and FCZ's tendency to screw up. A bunch of unexpected results for sure...

PS: Rob, I'm a lil' confused about the score-keeping. So we get a point for a draw if we pick a winner - (a reward for picking a winner?) What happens if we pick a draw correctly?

If you correctly pick a draw you get three points.

This way the most points possible are given. We could have done it where any incorrect guess was zero points, but I thought it would help our egos to have a higher score :)
