Barnetta was in prime form for Bayer Leverkusen in last night's away victory at Hoffenheim (I was watching the whole match live on Setanta)

He made no direct assists (unless one of his 'lethal' corner kicks is included) but was instrumental in all four BL goals.

Schwegler came on as a sub after 75 minutes or so and was competent.

It's not just Behrami that I'm interested in you know. ;)

Lucien Favre's Hertha is leader in the Bundesliga after the 2-1 victory against Bayern! Raffael with a strong match btw

Koller's Bochum wins against Schalke with the same result

Esteban apparently had one good scene as he dribbled Biancalani on the right wing and flanked well on Cheyrou's head who missed the goal

Then, he also had a yellow card. Otherwise, they said he tried to bring in some elan to Rennes attacking game.

N'Kufo scored his 100th eredivisie goal today for Twente and is now four goals removed from the Twente all-time topscorer record by Jan Jeuring.

I'm glad for Blaise. After a long carreer with many different clubs, ups and downs, a long NT hiatus etc. he deserved this.

Yes it's a real shame. And don't forget HSV's Petric.
Anyway after Kuz and Rakitic the Swiss Football Association have taken steps to prevent this in the future. Let's hope we can.

The club had thousands of scarves made for the occassion to hand out to the fans. 'The Legend' printed on one side, 'The Man, The Goals' on the other. They interviewed him post-match and he was wearing the scarf and looking very happy!

    Ho hum!

At least his injury is *for real* this time, and like everyone else on here I have sympathy for him.

..................But there's an element of 'karma' insomuch as it was bad karma for him to 'pick up an injury' just before the Bulgarian game.

Anyway, he now has a *real injury* - but I hope he makes a full recovery soon.

Judging by the reaction of West Ham fans when he was carried off VB is much appreciated, and will be missed..............but I doubt if they had the forthcoming swiss WCQ's games in mind.

    I sure hope so.

If it's not 'dodgy' registrations, it's injuries to key players.......or players 'falling out' with the incumbent swiss manager (or vice versa of course) at critical times. e.g N'Kufo with Kobi Kuhn just before Euro 2008.

One day, everything will come right for a change!
