*Kristinson a goalie arrives at Hammarby.
*Another goalie leaves. Pär Hansson leaves his duties at Helsingborg for an adventure at FC Copenhagen.

IFK's danish starstriker Lasse Vibe is sols off to english football and Brentford. The deal will go through imediately and according to newspapers he could miss the returnleg in Europe vs polish Wroclaw. Seems still that he is registered to that game though. We'llsee. IFK will need a really good investment to replace this guy. Won't be easy. He scored 23(!) goals last season. This season the goals have been shared between more players. Sportively it's a setback. But he obviously wanted to develope abroad.

Also FCK's Wiland. A veteran goalie is signed at nearby East Danish club Malmö. Good with experiance. They ended the game in Europe with a 16 year old in goal after an injury to the goalie starting the game. So Wiland is really needed now.

The 17th round starting today with 3 games:

    Malmö FF-Gif Sundsvall: 3-0 (2-0)
    1-0 Nikola Djurjic (2), 2-0 Vladimir Rodic (45), 3-0 Markus Rosenberg (80).
yellow cardsMalmö FF: Oscar Lewicki. Gif Sundsvall: Sebastian Rajalakso.
    referee: Martin Hansson, Holmsjö.
Malmö FF (4-4-2): Johan Wiland - Anton Tinnerholm, Kari Arnason, Felipe Carvalho (Franz Brorsson 57), Yotun - Vladimir Rodic, Oscar Lewicki (Enoch Kofi Adu 83), Erdal Rakip, Tobias Sana - Markus Rosenberg, Nikola Djurdjic (Pawel Cibicki 77).
Gif Sundsvall (4-4-2): Tommy Naurin - Robert Lundström, Joakim Nilsson, Jon Fjoluson, Dennis Olsson - Robbin Sellin (Simon Helg 68), Adam Chennoufi, Lars Krog Gerson, Sebastian Rajalakso (Daniel Sliper 76) - Pa Dibba (Erik Granat 82), Leo Englund.

It was to be a perfect start for the two new serbs in Malmö, Djurjic the attacker and Rodic the winger to the right. One goal each. Veteran and experianced Rosenberg scoring the 3-0 goal. A must win game off coarse. A game they are supposed to win. A day at the office if you will. They trail 5 Points behind the leaders and historic rivals IFK, with one game more played.
But next ahead is obviously a much tougher task, RB Salzburg in the Champions League 3rd round. On away pitch to make even worse. Considering how Malmö have played thus far this season (mostly due to them basically losing an entire 1st eleven) it looks a bit bleak to say the least. Somehow a slightly rusty defense needs to keep it tight away from home. Hopefully for the Skye Blues their 5 new members of the squad can help them raise their level.

    Häcken-Kalmar FF 3-0 (0-0)
    1-0 Nasiru Mohammed (52), 2-0 Joel Andersson (54), 3-0 Nasiru Mohammed (77).
yellow cards, Häcken: Simon Sandberg, Paulo de Oliveira Kalmar FF: David Elm, Viktor Agardius, Viktor Elm, Stefan Larsson.
    referee: Robert Daradic, Helsingborg.
Häcken (4-3-3): Peter Abrahamsson - Simon Sandberg, Jasmin Sudic, Leonard Zuta, Kari Arkivou - Samuel Gustafson, Paulinho (Adam Andersson 85), Mohammed Abubakari (Ivo Pekalski 71) - Joel Andersson, Alexander Jeremejeff (Dardan Rexhepi 22), Nasiru Mohammed.
Kalmar FF (4-4-2): Lars Gramstad Cramer - Emin Nouri, Nenad Djordjevic (Tobias Eriksson 71), Marcus Thorbjörnsson, Viktor Agardius - Papa Alioune Diouf (Stefan Larsson 46), Ismael Silva Lima, Viktor Elm, Filip Sachpekidis (Rasmus Elm 61) - Marcus Antonsson, David Elm.

Häcken continue to impress at home at the Bravida Arena. Quick and nifty Little player Nasiru Mohammed, scoring twice. Häcken now slowly but surely reeling themselves up the charts. One of the brother Gustafssons have now left them for Feyenoord. Judging this game not a big loss thus far.
Kalmar with a for the most part poor 1st half of the series. This despite a on paper decent squad including the brother Elms.

    Åtvidaberg-Helsingborg 1-2 (0-1)
    0-1 Robin Simovic (21), 0-2 Robin Simovic (54), 1-2 Öyvind Tor Hovda (62).
yellow cards, Åtvidaberg: Mauricio Albornoz, Andreas Dahlén,Tor Öyvind Hovda. Helsingborg: Johan Mårtensson, Andreas Landgren, Lalawélé Atakora.
    referee: Markus Strömbergsson, Gävle.
Åtvidaberg (4-4-2): Henrik Gustavsson - Martin Lorentzson, Mauricio Albornoz (Ajsel Kujovic 61), Månz Karlsson, Andreas Dahlén (Ammar Ahmed 78) - Martin Christensen, Tor Öyvind Hovda, Daniel Hallingström, Kristian Bergström - Simon Skrabb, John Owoeri (Mario Jelavic 77).
Helsingborg (4-4-2): Pär Hansson - Andreas Landgren, Victor Pálsson, Frederik Helstrup Jensen, Jere Uronen - Lalawélé Atakora (Mattias Lindström 89), Johan Mårtensson, Darijan Bojanic, Anton Wede (Emmanuel Boateng 69) - Robin Simovic, Jordan Larsson (Mikael Dahlberg 71).

I Think Åtvidaberg could be hanging loose as far as renewal of the Allsvenskan contract. Scanian side Helsingborg had seemingly Control over events here with an in-form Simovic scoring 2 goals. Hovda´s goal mere consolation for the tiny club.
Another midget of a club could be leaving the Allsvenskan. This in the path of similar clubs leaving last season namely BP and Mjällby. Both those clubs incidentely now also struggling a bit in the 2nd tier level.....

The 17th round continued today with two further games:

    AIK–Elfsborg 4–2 (4–0)
    1–0 Henok Goitom (10), 2–0 Mohamed Bangura (23), 3–0 Alessandro Silva Pereira (35), 4–0 Henok Goitom (40), 4–1 Viktor Prodell (63), 4–2 Simon Lundevall (79).
yellow cards, AIK: Dickson Paul Etuhu. Elfsborg: Sebastian Holmén, Simon Hedlund, Anders Svensson.
    referee: Mohammed Al–Hakim, Köping.
    attendance: 14 122.

    Falkenberg–IFK Göteborg 1–0 (1–0)
    1–0 Gustaf Nilsson (6).
yellow cards, Falkenberg: Christoffer Carlsson. IFK Göteborg: Tom Pettersson, Gustav Engvall, Thomas Rogne.
    referee: Martin Strömbergsson, Gävle.
    attendance: 5 470.

Yesterday Malmö did their job vs a bottom half side. Their rivals Göteborg, from the 2nd city ,failed to do the same vs a similar smaller side, Falkenberg. Only one change in the starting lineup from the homegame vs Wroclaw in the Europa League. Coach Lennartsson opting for few changes and perhaps he doubts the strength of the bench players a bit? In hindsight he could have played a few hungry guys from the b-formation. Also then resting players before the important Europa League game vs Belenenses.
At a first glance now that they have a bad trend in the League and also lost danish dynamite attacker Vibe, IFK could well leave the tournament....We shall see. Being an IFK supporter I hope I´m wrong.

Goitom scores 2 goals in the 1st half for his AIK. He is in great shape the veteran striker. He was saved to the 2nd half. Eventhough Elfsborg came back with 2 goals I´m not too impressed by this side. Particularly away from home. Sure they trail 1 game in the League and could Close the gap to IFK though. A few homegames at their balcony-mat aka artificial turf and they might threaten again.
AIK might just enter a positive period. Advances slightly in the League now and with Goitom continuing to score we could perhaps see a good 2nd half of the series for the Northern Stockholm side....!?
Regarding Europe it is difficult to see how theise two sides will do vs Atromitos from Greece and Odds BK of Norway.
Elfsborg a few years back were eliminated by norwegian side Aalesund. Can they have another lucky bounce away from home like against Randers (who looked the stronger side for most part)? Norwegians generally are physically strong and going directly towards goal. A tough challenge for a relatively small team in stature. A team well adapted to artificial turfs. Does Odds BK play on artificial turf lol?
AIK´s opponent I know also very little about so difficult to say what AIK can produce there. But judging the way the played today with a freeflowing attack maybe they could do well.....

*Yes Odds BK plays at artificial turf.

    17th round, Monday

    Örebro-Djurgården 0-1 (0-0)0-1 Jesper Arvidsson (77).
yellow cards, Örebro: Eidur Sigurbjörnsson, Marcus Pode, Robert Åhman Persson. Djurgården: Omar Colley, Nyasha Mushekwi.
    referee: Johan Hamlin, Bro.
    attendance: 11 171

With Elfsborg still with one game less played than Djurgården, DIF are now in 3rd position on 33 Points produced. Underrated wingback Arvidsson moves forward to make full use of a rebound coming out to him just outside the box. An enormous away support for the Järnkaminer. A roar maybe not heard to Göteborg, Malmö, Borås and other top opponents but it certainly puts a clear message that DIF also wants to play for the title.

Wingback Arvidsson bombs it home to the delight of several thousands of Djurgården fanatics!

    Halmstad-Gefle 0-1 (0-1)0-1 Anders Bååth (32).
yellow cards, Halmstad: King Osei Gyan, Eric Smith. Gefle: Dioh Williams.
    referee: Stefan Johannesson, Täby.
    attendance: 4 744

Falkenberg, Halmstad and Helsingborg.....3 West coast sides that all of them have now lost to evidentely underrated Gefle. A side that with 1 game trailing are establishing themselves in a respectable mid League position. Well done coach Sandberg! A 1st half goal by Anders Bååth seals the victory away at Halmstad!

    Hammarby-IFK Norrköping 0-1 (0-1)0-1 Emir Kujovic (37).
yellow cards, Hammarby: Johan Persson, Linus Hallenius, Stefan Batan, Lars Sætra. IFK Norrköping: Arnór Ingvi Traustason, Christoffer Nyman.
    referee: Glenn Nyberg, Borlänge.
    attendance: 27 011

Not always the most stylish side. But just like Gothenburg they play a strict 4-4-2 under a likewise strict tactical coach emphesizing organisation and team-work. Norrköping from the Östergötland region didn´t excactly dominate either in this game vs Bajen but everything is going their way right now. And with the meteoric rise of the tall, strong and tricky attacker Kujovic, it can only be a success story. We should mention also that Kujovic albeit with impressive finnishing looked to be suspiciously close to being in an offside position.
Hammarby have the best supporters arguably in Scandinavia! A frustrating period since rather long now. Yes they won vs Åtvidaberg at home but since a good start to the League they have been falling through the ranks. I expect this on paper fairly competent roster to rise again to find a mid league-placing. But they need to find back to what they showed early on with high tempo, good passing and efficiency in the box. Khalihli looked lively when he entered the pitch. Kennedy also subbed into the game. And getting him back in form is of upmost importance obviously.....

Kujovic the giant attacker scores after a scramble inside the box.

IFK Norrköping´s coach Janne Andersson the brain behind the success story.[IMG]

Soon time again to focus on Allsvenskan. Our own shitty domestic League. But 1st a Little Euro-perspective on things.
When it all boils down swedes seem to care little about the Europa League and Cl qualies. We care more about the local League and rivalries. Just look at the attendance in eurogames for Swedish teams compared to domestically where Allsvenskan have a few of the best and most impressive supporter Groups in Northern Europe. In Europe sweish arenas are gaping half empty at best. Also we are old school you could say. We dearly want also to hold on to the 51/49% rule and similar ethical and moral standpoints. And until the Swedish League isn´t improving more when it comes to the financial area with total Revenue and factors as such, it´s no use getting irritated regarding results in Europe. OK so now, if we were to have a slightly edgy and a bit onesided kind of perspective on things regarding this discussion with the financial perspective in mind, you could summarize it by just looking at Swedish teams avarage market value/player and total value of the squads compared to some of the teams they are now facing in this round. How are they doing and what can we expect? This is just one of many perspectives off course but at least gives a rough financial picture of where the swedes are at in comparison strictly looking at strength of the squads and per player. Total revenue and such parametres are more the tools in which to improve these figures potentially with strengthened squads. Furthermore these values obviously change over time and are also affected to a certain degree to in which League these particular players play in.....

    Euroleague Qual.

    Göteborg vs Belenenses (Portugal)
Belenenses at 626k Pounds in avarge value/player with 15,65mill. total for the squad (although number of players per squad varies off course)
IFK at 382K Pounds/player with 8,79 mill. total.

1-2 with a homegame coming up.

Now in fact Belenense should be seen as clear favourites coming into this tie judging these parameters. As we can see these portuguese guys are no pushovers. They have a few high class players by Scandinavian/Nordic standards. Including for example the guy that scored 2 goals for the, namely veteran and former NT player Martins. He scored two screamers to 2-0 Before the IFK coach changed the balance tactically sending out and attacker and replacing with a midfielder because we were basically outnumbered. Also Ankersen one of the danes came into the 2nd half and assisted the goal for IFK.
So with 1-2 to the returnleg IFK-fans today seem to feel that it is not over yet. With a good support at Ullevi backing them they can turn this around much thanks to that awaygoal. The squad looks strong defensively but lacks somewhat in class in attack. This needs to be fixed if they were to advance in Europe but above all do well in the League continiously.
So in spite of all 1-2 away at Belenenses at least judging these figures are actually a good job done by a IFK.

    AIK vs Atromitos (Greece)
Atromitos at 331K Pounds in markervalue per player and with 8,94 mill. Pounds for the squad in total
AIK at 267K/player and 6,69 mill. for the squad totally.

1-3 with an away leg next.

Atromitos are no world beaters looking at the stats. And AIK fans should not be too contempt after yesterdays performance then. They were awarded two peanalties but just managed to score on one. Furthermore they looked totally out of sorts being countered on all goals against. Their injury to experiance Hooiveld left them with an unexperianced Sonko Sundberg who is not ready for these games yet.
AIK should actually normally be able to touch these greeks. But now it looks an uphill struggle. A below standard performance.

    Elfsborg vs Odds BK (Norway)
Odds BK at 274K/player and 6,58 mill. for the squad in total
Elfsborg at 295K/player and 7,37 mill for the squad

2-1 with an away leg coming up.

This as we´ve mentioned looks a tight one sportively. And after the 1st leg and 2-1 for IFE it remains tight. Also looking at the squads and the players Odds Bk should feel that they are just on the same level as Elfsborg potentially. Likewise Elfsborg allthough letting in that goal (by impressive Odd BK attacker Occean) should be satisfied since they met an opponent roughly on the same level.
This can end in any way I feel.

    CL qual.

    Malmö vs Salzburg
Salzburg at 1,15 mil. Pound/player and with 34,55 mil. in total.
Malmö at 516 K/player and 14,46 mil. for the squad.

Malmö are down 0-2 with the Swedbank-game(home) coming up

Another naive performance by a swedish side? Yes on the 2nd goal where one South american wingback Yotun flamboyantly passes the ball to a South american centre back (and unexperianced for that matter) Carvahlo, inside the box. But all in all a competetive Salzburg dictating events out there with an almost impossible high pressinggame all through the game. Very tough indeed!
Well although Salzburg are not as good as last year perhaps, they still have some by swedish and Scandinavian standards, very competetive squad with individual skill. Eventhough Malmö are also no pushovers for that matter by Nordic standards as can be seen here. Very strong squad. But quite clearly despite all departured Salzburg players, they should be seen as big favourites going into this one judging these numbers at least. Now other factors off course comes in as well, with coaching skills for example. Norwegian coach Haareide I rate very highly with both tactical skills generally and also valuable experiance.
The 0-2 can potentially be brought back in the 2nd leg for Malmö with a really optimal start to the game. A fantastic crowd will back them which I think could help them on the way. MFF fans should actually not give up. But sure looking bleak at a first glance. There is no arguing regarding the meteoric market value of Malmö´s opponents though......

*As I mentioned this was just a loose perspective from one possible angle regarding the strength vs the opponents of the swedes. Many other factors must be counted in as well obviously.

Later I will cover the coming 18th round of the shitty League we hold so dearly.

18th round of Allsvenskan under way:

    Helsingborg–Kalmar FF 1–2 (0–0)
    1–0 Emmanuel Boateng (48), 1–1 Tobias Eriksson (51), 1–2 Filip Sachpekidis (82).
    referee: Martin Strömbergsson, Gävle.
    attendance: 10 174

Helsingborg weren´t able to break this very well organized and physically strong side, Kalmar. They may have taken the lead early through rapid winger Boateng in the 2nd half and looked more positive and forward going, but a quick reply by Kalmar´s central midfielder Eriksson sucked the air out of the homeside. A fine strike unstoppable for the HIF goalie. Kalmar then decided the game through youngster Sachpekidis in the 82 minute. Not entirely undeserved. Big and strong lad Elm had a physical presence the whole game through. An important player for the visitors. A decent crowd coming out to this one at an Olympia that is currently undergoing a reconstruction.
But Kalmar are trying to establishing themselves in the mid part of the League. 22 Points in 9th Place. Gefle can pass them in this round though. Helsingborg are in 7th position right now. But worst case scenario would see both Gefle and Häcken pass them by.

    18th round games coming up

    tomorrow

    ÅFF-Malmö
The home team wanting to find Contact with the teams above them in the bottom of the series. Difficult task though as the Giants of South are paying them a visit. But maybe MFF will rest players due to Europa play and therefor giving ÅFF a slight chance to snatch at least one point? Artificial turf of poor quality might also be helping them out. But sure Malmö are favourites.
    Gefle-FFF
Gefle have fine record at their Gvlevallen. On the other side of the fence we have a side that won at home in the last round after a heroic fight vs the leaders in the League. But here we give Gefle the advantage.
    Djurgården Stockholm-BKH
Djurgården have impressed this season. A top side for the moment. Much thanks to their on loan attacker, Zimbabwean Mushekwi. But also a formideble organization outlined by coach Olsson. The opponents for the day are tricky Häcken. The away record is poor this season. But after a poor period they have improved. 8th position. And with two new Dutch players maybe they can improve even further. A rather interesting game here. A challenge one would Think for both sides.

    2nd August

    Norrköping-AIK Stockholm
Norrköping have also impressed. They are placed 2nd in the League. The top part of the table sees 6(!) teams within a 5 Point margine in typical Swedish fashion where noone seem to be able to take command. AIK are one of those teams and will despite a poor performance in Europé relish this task. Not a long trip and a lot of away supporters from Stockholm. But it will be difficult perhaps since Norrköping are difficult to break down.
    Göteborg-ÖSK
Göteborg lost away at Belenenses of Portugal 1-2 in the Europa League qualifying. But they are not yet. The away goal rule gives them a decent chance at home next Thursday. The team lost in the last round to Falkenberg. And the trend looks a bit worrying with many lost points and a sold off star attacker from Denmark, Lasse Vibe. They have also looked a bit blunt up front lately.
Örebro are the opponents. They need to get out of harms way down in the bottom of the league soon because some of the teams above them are starting to move away slowly but surely. A 3 pointer here would be wanted badly then. And since IFK have a tough schedule plus a sold star player, Örebro will see a decent chance to stop the bleeding.....
    Elfsborg-HBK
Elfsborg won in Europe but once again not an entirely convincing display versus a Tippeligaen opponent. They are one of the 6 top sides fighting it out. A norwegian player on loan was just presented. A central defender. Will be welcomed since they have looked a bit shaky at times.
Halmstad are in the bottom section. Maybe not surprising afterall. A rather cheap squad with a restricted budget. One of few clubs with an aging arena. They need some kind of refurbishment this club. A few seasons now where they have been a bit fortunate to survive with a renewed contract. A tough task away at Elfsborg Borås. But also a tough schedule for IFE so maybe there is light in the tunnel?

    3rd August

    GIF-Hammarby Stockholm
Sundsvall not long ago were seemingly strolling along nicely in the mid part of the league. suddenly they find themselves dangerously close to be drawn into the bottom clash. But they are normally a tough opponent up there in the North at Norrporten. A long trip for most teams and a difficult turf to master as well. Surprisingly this season though they find themselves playing just as good away as home.
Hammarby are the opponents in this round. A hard working outfit under the leadership of Chief Coach Bergstrand. He wants his side to play at a high tempo with good passing and good movement off the ball. They started the league well but have been a bit unlucky in some games where they easily could have taken nore points. A tricky task this one. But they master the surface no doubt. And it is a side with good character who hopefully for their fanatical supporters can salvage something here in order to not getting drawn into any possible relegation battle. On paper they ought to be able to do so one would think.....!?

Djurgården´s Sam Johnson decidesthe game vs Häcken in spectacular fashion with after a long run from the mid circle. Häcken were very close grabbing the Point after duth new signing Hemmen had scored on a return coming out from Djurgården keeper Höie. But in the end DIF snatches the win. Maybe this is big year for DIF?

Åtvidaberg had the victory sealed with a 2 goal lead? Nope. New Serbian signing on loan from Augsburg scores two in return to leave the southerners with a draw in Östergötland County. Once again MFF seem to fail miserably to close the gap on the leading pack. The visitors had not surprisingly rotated the squad to this game following a tough away game in Salzburg on Wednesday. 40-yaer old veteran, midfielder Bergström and Albornoz the former BP player with the homesides goals.....

Gefle are very strong at home and there were nothing the visitors could do to answer Bertilsson´s goal after 23 minutes gone. Instead the homeside from Norrland continued to pile on the pressure and the game could have ended in a bigger defecit for the small club from the West Coast.......

Hammarby IF are really good at breaking opponents negative trends, the 3-0 loss was inevitable since Sundsvall hadn't won at home until they faced us.

Intresting games next round with Malmö FF vs IFK Göteborg, will Malmö be in the title race?
And AIK vs Djurgården IF, the twinderby is always heated and now both sides has a chance on the title.

Good IFK are out of Europe. Now we can concentrate on Allsvenskan. On Sunday we play Malmö away from home. And what´s new to that game for us is that we know hopefully can present an attacker that can score for us. He is on loan from Rosenborg, Riku Riski.
It was to be a bad day for Swedish clubfootball. Elfsborg went out to Odds BK. Congrats to our norwegian Brothers. Well done. IFK are out to belenenses after a bleak 0-0 at home. The visitors parked the bus and we couldn´t get past it. AIK as I write are most probably going out to some small greek club Atromitos. Seems the game is slightly delayed. But doesn´t matter since they lost 1-3 at home after a disastrous performance. So nothing new really. Swedish clubfootball is not quite there yet. With exception to the team in the South that Went through yesterday to the CL play offs somehow.

    Allsvenskan focus at last. ;)

Nice to see Christian Wilhelmsson continues to train with his former club, Mjallby (now in Superetten). is there a possibility that Chippen will try a comeback with the club at the age of 35?

Wow didn't know about that. I'm sure hes still good enough for 2nd tier level. Besides Mjällby are not excactly doing well at the moment IL? Talk about dropping like a stone this club. I remember how they always made life difficult for the big clubs travelling to the Strandvallen.

I read it on Aftonbladet's website. You are absolutely correct about both Mjallby and the same might even be said for another recent Allsvenskan club, BP. I hope I am wrong, but I can't help but think maybe Chippen is being loyal to the club where he began and ended his great career in order to help Mjallby avoid further relegation, but I believe Mjallby's problems might be a little deeper than a one or two player change on the pitch. Though I agree his play would definitely be up to Superetten level (he had only retired after 2014 Allsvenskan and 35 is still a young/tender age:rolleyes:).

    19th round

    Hammarby–Elfsborg 0–0
Yellow cards, Hammarby: Birkir Mar Sævarsson. Elfsborg: Jon Jönsson, Niklas Gunnarsson, Simon Hedlund.
    Refere: Andreas Ekberg,
    attendance: 21 165

    Malmö-Göteborg 2-1
    Arnason,Rosenberg scorers for Malmö
    Salomonsson for Göteborg
    Attendance: 22000 appr.

    Örebro-Norrköping ending with Norrköping win.

Yesterday started off with Malmö winning at home vs. Göteborg. The 1st half saw Malmö dominating and centre back Arnason's goal was well deserved. A corner and a header. Later on Rosenberg's peanalty kick made it 2-0 and it looked a steep upphill task to get back for the visitors.
2nd half sawMFF down to 10 which gave IFK more posession and offensive pressure. Eventually a peanalty for Göteborg and scored by wing back Salomonsson. Malmö skillfully had the game ebbing out. 2-1 for the Giants of the South....
Elsewhere Örebro fell further into the valley of misery losing yet again. Another tough opponent albeit at home. Never any doubt. Peking in great form now with the same amount of points as Göteborg in the top.
Hammarby had pleanty chances to day the least but unable to break the deadlock in front of another massive support. Elfsborg leaving Europe earlier in the weak continued to look very bleak to say the least. Nothing in their play seem to work last couple of games. Still managing to be a top contender thanks to some other top sides not winning regularly.
Hammarby must start to win a few games very soon or this could start get very unpleasant.....

Later this evening we have Stockholm Derby. 40000 tickets something sold. Intruiging game. It's a derby, bu also two top sides battling it out.

Yes, IL. He is being very loyal. Wilhelmsson have been earning decent sums of money abroad durung his career. Anderlecht, some Saudi club too I think it was!? So is just playing with a big heart at the club that raised him as a kid. One must respect that. I don't think the club is too wealthy at the moment do hes probably playing without pay. Kudos to him!
I think Mjällby are unbeaten since he came too!?
He has had more than a decent career. Including many caps for Sweden. Maybe not one of the most illustrious through history amongst swedish top players. But he certainly was well respected for his abilities as a player. Quick paced. Technically refined with good ball controll. Irational. I have always liked those kinds of players. Entertaining to watch.

    Well done Wilhelmsson//

I was wrong of course. There is 1 game left to be played in this round tomorrow Wednesday between Gefle and Elfsborg. his is very significant because IFE could reach 2nd spot desoite their recent dubious form.

Top 6 clubs after 19 rounds
    1. IFK Göteborg
    38 Points +18 goaldifference
Had a really great 1st 3rd to the League. Have been wavering a bit lately. The reasons could be bluntness in attack with star attacker Vibe leaving. New signing Riski will not reach the same level. But it is too early to write him off. Important centre back Bjärsmyr got injured versus Malmö. 4-6 weeks.

    2. Norrköping 38 Points +12
Some people thought this team would be dropping off slightly in the League after the fantastic start. But they have continued to impress. A big reason behind this is their star attacker Kujovic. Centre back Andreas Johansson holds the defense together and is a leader. Some of the other players in the squad have had a good season. Faustasson and Bärkroth are examples of this.

    3. Djurgården 36 Points +13
This club have just like Norrköping done a bit better than expected judging the experts analysis before the season. Zimbabwean star attacker Mushekwi have had a meteoric rise scoring loads of goals for the Stockholmers. Mrabti is a quick irrational youngster in midfielder developing nicely. Several usefull players in the squad working hard as a unit under the leadership of the strict tactician Pelle Olsson.

    4. AIK 36 points +12
The big black machine is slowly starting to move upwards the rankings. Potentially a very dangerous opponent in the fight for the title. Henok Goitom their main striker up front is a fantastic allround player. Can be used as a target or can make long searching runs in the depth. Ofori is one of the spiders centrally that can be used as two way going midfielders. Ishizaki with valuable experiance from abroad including The Galaxy and MLS have returned to the club. Instantly we see his great contribution with passing, crosses, offensive set pieces and shooting. Questiomarks regarding their defense have been straightened out with the signing of dutchman Jos Hoiveld. Bangura is an underrated player that seems to be getting the right mood. 2nd straight game he has decided now. The team has both great talents but also a few experianced players. Johansson, Etuhu, Ishizaki, Hoiveld, Goitom have experiance. Ofori, Sundberg, Carlgren (goalie) and a few others are talented......

    5. Elfsborg 35 points +13
IFE might not have had a fantastic late form, but they have evidentely 35 points with that game hanging versus Gefle away from home. They looked dissapointing in Europe and some of their recent results in the league have made people beginning to doubt them. But as ever with this side they rely heavily on their artificial turf. They have specialised in getting small and quick paced players well adapted to the surface. Zeneli on the left flank is one example of such a player. They just like their western rivals IFK have their goals well distributed between several players and not any significant attacker.

    6. Malmö 34 points +12
Well, Malmö won in the last round versus historical rival Göteborg. The 1st half was a display of tactical smartness from coach Haareide finding the only holes in IFK´s armour on the flanks. Suddenly they find themselves within striking distance trailing just 4 points in the title race. Two significant late signing, quick winger Rodic and attacker Djurdjic have given them more depth offensively. Both also scored versus Salzburg in European competition. This is the only swedish club left in european cup play and could potentially be having an effect on their physical strength with a tight schedule. But the roster now looks having good depth on the other hand and coach Haareide have also rotated regularly and so his players will be well adapted to these circumstances. I think the main reason behind Malmö´s weaker 1st half of the season is that they´ve had basically a completely new roster of players coming in thus not having the best continuity. We shall never write off a Giant like Malmö. They will always be there in the end......

Yes the attendance average is amazing and a lot better than was expected when we got the new arena. To be honest our supporter groups had done a huge job into getting people to attend games. Ironicly I also think it's because Djurgården plays at our homeground which pissed of quite alot of people with Hammarby sympathis which make more more to attend games "to show them who belongs here". Anyways thanks for the kind words, Göteborg had also increased their support their season and had many away fans against us and Malmö.

I do think we will make it simple due to Åtvidaberg, Falkenberg, Sundsvall (a ghost team for us explains our losses), Halmstad and Örebro simple are worse than us, we've been the better team in many games with creating chances (example the last one against Elfsborg) but our strikes can't execute them, hopefully this will change soon.

Last game in the 19th round

    Gefle–Elfsborg 2–3 (2–1)
    1–0 Jonas Lantto (15), 2–0 Johan Bertilsson (28), 2–1 Viktor Prodell (32), 2–2 Niklas Gunnarsson (76), 2–3 Marcus Rohdén (90 str).
yellow cards, Gefle: Martin Rauschenberg, Emil Bellander. Elfsborg: Marcus Rohdén, Per Frick, Viktor Prodell.
    referee: Kristofer Karlsson, Höganäs.
    attendance: 4 446.

Elfsborg were down 0-2 in this game. The game had two phases. The 1st half belonged to the hosts. The 2nd half dominated by IFE. Very poor performance at the same time by Gefle in the 2nd half. A peanalty kick for IFE after 90 minutes+.
Elfsborg moves up to a 2nd position. Same Points as two other team, IFK and Norrköping. Gefle still with a more than acceptable position by their standards.
