I read the rules and understood. Wasn't sure I had to put this until now. Thank you for clearing the board up.

Quick question because I'm a little unsure about it. Say we put a pair of cleats for sale online with say a price of $40. But two people offer $40 for them, and then one offers say $50 on top. I don't think this should become like Ebay, but how would you propose we handle this? I wouldn't want to keep updating saying someone else has offered different amounts when the listed price is what is shown. Just keep it between pm's? I know this is probably rare, but I want to keep in compliance haha!

    Thanks!

It's down to the seller who they want to sell to and how they conduct business. I am against bidding on boots but at the end of the day if someone wants a pair of boots that badly that they offer money on top of the asking price, there's not much anyone can do to stop that seller taking it.

The best thing we can do is ask people to put a price on their goods. Saying "make me an offer" encourages people to bid against one another because it's easy to turn around and say "well so and so made me this much, do you want to match it?" with no proof that anyone else has actually made a bid. Putting a price on their goods makes everything more transparent and that's the best we can do.

Question, why are bumping of threads not tolerated? In all for sale sections of forums i've been through have always allowed bumps! How are you supposed to keep your page up and around so people still know your product is for sale????

Second, could you talk to the big soccer moderators to possibly let this section be allowed to edit their own posts? Because that can help keep this forum more clean, so forum members can edit their own ads when they sell their goods.... exactly how it works on other forums i go to, for car parts.

Funny thing is, I helped start this forum a couple years back lol.
