No idea who will be out there for us, but I would think J. Smith would start as possible showcase for him when season is done.
I almost bought tickets to this a while back. Glad now that I didn't. Not expecting much of a crowd...
It's going to be our reserves against whomever Swansea decides to play. I expect it to be much better played than the past couple of games just because they should all be trying to impress the coach and show they are better than those starters that have been struggling. I would love to see a shakeup in the lineup due to this game. Something needs to be done to jump start this team or they will die a most ugly death.
I expect to see OP to use this game to give time to his B starters. Looking forward to seeing this one still.
I'm not looking for too much out of this game other than seeing O'Neill and/or Armstrong. It would be a good test for the both of them (if O'Neill isn't commited to the academy playoffs anyways).
Will be there with the wife. She agreed to come since I would likely be better behaved at a non-MLS league game. Plan to enjoy it, regardless of outcome. I would love to get a look at the B-list team....O'Neil, Armstrong, more of Hill, as mentioned.
At least this time around I can see good soccer at Dick's and not actually care that its at the Rapids expense.
If you don't come to this game don't bitch about not getting friendlies in Colorado. Same with people who didn't show up for the WCQ against Guatemala. Get off your ass or shut up about it.
why its an incentive to get season tix... also every other stadium does it... i have no issue with it
It is that too but thought was that it has something to do with the deal with Swansea. When I was a concert producer you'd see contracts where the venue/or promoters got a % of merch sales.
Could be, especially since I know they've charged for parking at the Dick for certain concerts. Or its just a way for the Rapids to make some extra $$$ on a game they had to pay extra $$$ to arrange.
Oh, well I do have a kickback card... what does that do anyway? Its not the same as the burgundy card, is it?
It will be nice to go to a game and not have to worry about the outcome; especially considering current, shall we say, trends in the Rapids' performances. My prediction for the starting 11: ------------Akpan------------Hill----------------- --Davy--------Nane-------O'Neill-----Wells---- --Zap-----Marshall-----Palguta-----Freeman-- -----------------------Stu--------------------------- Hinchey deserves credit for setting this up; especially after all the whining by fans the past few years about not having any friendlies. At least he's trying. I hope we have at least a semi-decent crowd there just to show that it wasn't a waste of time.
Unlimited substitutions for this game, so we can expect to see lots of faces that haven't gotten much playing time.
Did you purchase the tickets in advance? The e-mail announcing the match and pre-sale stated 9-game season ticket holders would be mailed a pass after you purchased your seats.

All the international MLS friendlies are on FirstRow sports... except ours. We are THAT bad this year.
