they could barely afford Gio, or couldn't like another version of the Gio transfer saga mentioned so I doubt they have the money to lure Sven, who really has disappointed me, altho if the next coach has similar results then more blame needs to get put on the players
Sven hasnt had the time to work with a full squad with time. Isnt this the longest he's had the group? Its difficult coming up with a gamelplan without "key" players.... I think sven needs more time before we start saying he hasnt done his job. He qualified us to the Hex, so far he's done what he is suppose to be doing. Lets not forget we basically played Honduras, Canada, and Jamaica with Sven hardly knowing the players.
HAHA sorry thats not from the movie but from blind guardian! hahaha its ok homes call me gay. i know whos going to be hurting more tomorrow LOL
lol "Homie" well arent you just a little bit well a stereotyping....haha... jk naw i wasnt calling you gay... its just a movie joke... and was quoting 40year old Virgin.. favorite movie of well... that month it came out...haha lol
Re: The Blockbuster Pre-Game Show: USA vs Mexico SVG is interested in EPL. Nice quote from him at the bottom of this NYT article. Just the mention of the Premier League made Eriksson almost giddy. He told reporters that he and the mercurial Russian owner of Chelsea, Roman Abramovich, were good friends. “He has my phone number if he wants it,” Eriksson said. “And let me assure you, he has not called me.”
Re: The Blockbuster Pre-Game Show: USA vs Mexico It's not like we don't have better options, either...if he wants to leave then let him walk.
Re: The Blockbuster Pre-Game Show: USA vs Mexico It is taken out of context. He was answering to the rumors that came out a couple of days ago about him going back to the EPL. You guys are starting to sound like ESTO.
Re: The Blockbuster Pre-Game Show: USA vs Mexico I read the whole interview and thats clearly out of context
Re: The Blockbuster Pre-Game Show: USA vs Mexico All I'm saying is that if he wants to leave then let him. I didn't even read the article.
Re: The Blockbuster Pre-Game Show: USA vs Mexico I was talkin to John sutcliff and he was saying, ya know Huerta, we need to ease off. lol
i think Sven is in it for the long haul with the NT then again, with all the shit one goes through as coach of the Mex NT i wouldn't be surprised if he did keep his options open you have the media hounding on you, players that are divas and do whatever the hell they want, and then you got the stupid FMF directivos telling you what to do anyone wanna go down to DF and burn down the FMF offices?
Question, when Hugo got sacked lunched was his contract guaranteed? If so sack lunching SVG and re hiring someone would get kind of costly, woud it not?
If the FMF were to let Sven go after a loss tonight, I don't think it'd open many doors to other foreign talent. Money, and the right amount, can speak powerfully but for the coaches who have a real passion for the game, who aren't in it necessarily for the money*, a system that is dysfunctional, paranoid, and egotistical (thanks FMF) won't look too appealing. We'll get coaches who sign multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts knowing they can walk away after 6 months with most of that money because the FMF will break the contract. * This is assuming that such coaches exist.
