I'm sure he will be linked to quite a bit of jobs for the rest of the year. But I don't see him leaving Mexico until after the WC2010.

Funny how Aguirre and Scolari are both without a job right now (and Pekerman?), and we've got Sven!!!

    What next, Hiddink?

how much trouble is Sven in ?

how bad have things been since he took over ? OK you lost to Honduras and Jamaica , but you had virtually qualified before the Jamaica game

some news reports in the UK have said he could be sacked if Mexico lose to the US tomorrow

    is that true ?

If he manages to lose tomorrow I would sack him myself.

If he loses on Wednesday then I might be a bit more lenient with him.

do you think he will be sacked if they lose ?

Portsmouth reportedly now want him as their manager - is he on a big money contract with Mexico ?

I think the only way he gets fired is if we get blown out...unlikely.

I can't speak for everyone, but I don't like Sven...

You are right! The Guat refs are always a problem...it was a Guat ref that helped Mex beat Guadalupe in the last Gold Cup, after that the same ref helped Mex lose to the US in the GC final.

    Is the "the Sun" reliable?

    No

But if that story is on the TELEVISA website then Sven should be worried.

no it is not - but its in other papers here too

portsmouth owner gaydamak is close to agent pini zahavi who also knows sven very well

problem is portsmouth are broke and gaydamak is trying to sell the club - can he afford sven on a long term deal ? he may offer a short term deal with a bonus to save them from relegation

quote from another UK paper the mirror (a low quality paper like the sun)

Eriksson has told friends he would happily “walk from Mexico back to London” for the Chelsea job but Portsmouth have made him aware of their interest.
