there will be 12 fifa dates next year reserved for qualifiers though. and 5 friendlies though none of those will be fifa dates. only to try out new players there. and we cannot play any european teams because of the dates. this is bad because we will only have one year to do prepare for the european competition we will be facing in the group stages and finals of the world cup.

Well, there are 10 games in the hex, so that does leave 2 games available. Of course, the FMF will surely sign an absurd contract with SUM that will obligate them to play all their friendlies in the US.

SGE has his work cut out for him in Kinsgton. I expect him to start the young guns up front, but I would not be surprised to see either Vuoso or Bravo starting with Vela and Gio flanking.

My biggest fear, though, is that Mexico starts to ponder the inner workings of the universe, then falls into a state amotivational indifference, has a massive attack of the munchies, and finally abandons the stadium to find the perfect jerk chicken po-boy... all due to the contact high they will inevitably acquire.

I think Decio or Justino said the SUM contract is for 5 games in the US in 2009. Oh well. Also, let's not forget the Gold Cup!!!!!!

I meant the number of games Mexico plays in the US because of the SUM contract.

Is it 5 every year, or does it change depending on the year?

From what I remember about the contract, it's supposed to be a 4 year contract (signed Fall 06) for 5 games a year, but I can't find any quick link. FMF's recent comments were in one of those articles earlier this week about why we shouldn't expect to play friendlies in Europe next year.

I want this dude's head on a plate. Who, in their right mind, would choose Oswaldo over Ochoa?

I wish they would give Corona a shot instead of Oswaldo

¿Qué hacer cuando una selección se hace pequeña, con tan poca calidad mostrada por el rival?
-“Creo que nunca nos hicimos pequeños, sin embargo, hay cosas que vamos a cambiar y que tengo que hacer por el bien del equipo

    Found this very interesting....

He is going to change something...

Almost like saying that heads are going to roll..

    Maybe swap Ochoa for Sanchez...
Give Gio or Vela the bench...
    Start Vuoso...

    different formation...

call in el Chapulin Colorado porque solo el puede salvarnos?:D

who knows, but the Canada game seems more interesting now...
