I'd still go easy on him..though expectations seem high. Would be nice to hear what Magath thinks of all the players so far.
he made his own penalty after dribling 2 players, after the friendlies last yr I thought wow hashemian is gonna rock! he scored many for Bayern in pre-season, well look what happened, just wait and have patient pls.
About pre-season-matches you can say nothing. In a normal game they don't train much the day before, in a pre-season-match it is different. The pre-season-match is only a additionally training. Not more, not lesser. What will happen if Makaay doesn't score in a training? Nothing. If Karimi wants to score against Grafenwöhr, he easly can it. But this isn't the goal.
During preseason matches they also train first force then tactic and tribbling. So i'm don't wondering if they loose against the japanese teams. Look how Bayern last year played against Manchester, this year against Würzburg, ...
I don't think Karimi didn't score because he did not want to...he is just getting into the mix with Bayern and Germany so it will take some time....remember, he's been here only for a little while. Also, don't expect too much of him, he is around world class players and isn't the star anymore....he can't really take the spotlight.
Surely he also wants to score. He also isn't a star yet but the goal of preseason-matches isn't to tribble out a whole amateur-team but to play together. And there it surely takes time until he knows better his teammates.
he is a midfielder not a forward. he has had a few good assists, and he created the penalty himself when he scored. don't be so alarmed. the coach would never want to see him hog the ball like that. you are creating argument that doesn't exist. trying to prove that he will fail? huh??
Easy everybody..... It's only a pre-season game. Magath was so interested in the game that he spent most of the time signing autographs With his side 8-0 up at half-time, head coach Felix Magath turned his attention to fulfilling requests from a throng of adoring fans. The 51 year-old spend the entire second 45 minutes with his back to the pitch as he signed autographs for young and old alike, thus missing out for the most part on his side's attacking exploits. Expectations too high and criticism too fast Can we find a balance somewhere in there? Go Bayern!
I worked in Grafenwoehr before I left Germany. My son played on a regional team of 14-15 year olds who once beat the SV Grafenwoehr men's team. Grafenwoehr is a pretty small town in the hills of the Bavarian Oberpfalz region. The biggest thing there is the NATO/USA Training Area. Bayern probably could have scored 50 goals and probably showed mercy.
Bayern could have been doing those exercises during the match and still beaten SV Grafenwoehr by ten goals or more!! LOL!! BTW, does anyone know where to get the full stats for that match? One of my old co-workers in Grafenwoehr probably played in that match. If he did and I can get in touch with him, I'll ask him to tell me how it felt to play against the mighty FC Bayern. Then again, he probably just tried not to hurt anyone. He WORSHIPS FC Bayern.......
Grafenwöhr played with these guys: SV Grafenwöhr: 1st half: Koller, J. Wächter, Ehring, Irlweg, P. Wächter, Jelen, Richter, Bäumler, Tusek, M. Wächter, Sallak (subs: Stütz, Fricker, Walberer); 2nd half: Winkler, Kirak, Petrov, Knodt, Baier, Weiss, Tsamaslidis, Farago, Weidenbach, Arnold, Waldenmayer, (subs: Recht, Sporer, Konogowski) Maybe you can identify him:
Thanks Gregoriak! I don't see Stephan, but I recognize the guy in the orange shirt on the far right in the final two photos. He worked for our Public Works people.
LOL poor Karimi looks like he is gonna have a heart attack in that pic. Whats his fitness levels like, cause i know there were a lot of concerns over that? Also, any idea about Ishmael? I know its against hopeless amateurs, but still. Any comments by the coach or kicker or anything?
Well Santa Cruz is still on a roll, Makaay is starting to get closer to form, Scholl shows that he still has some in the tank. Next match for Bayern is Karlsruhe. Should be a much better test than the previous couple
LOL, Karlsruhe does have good young talent that everyone likes, it is funny that someone had mentioned Stuttgart losing to them. Stuttgart seems like they aren't ready to compete this year that they will be rebuilding this season and possible next.
