They just announced the cast for the new Survivor, to premiere after the Super Bowl. It's 18 contestants this time, split into 3 tribes, and all the contestants are former participants on the show. Four of the seven winners are back, including World Cup correspondent Ethan. http://www.realitynewsonline.com/cgi-bin/ae.pl?mode=1&article=article3958.art&page=1 Chapera Tribe Alicia, The Outback Amber, The Outback Rob Cesternino, The Amazon Rob Mariano (“The Robfather” or “Boston Rob”), Marquesas Susan, Pulau Tiga Tom, Africa Saboga Tribe Ethan, winner of Africa Jenna Lewis, Pulau Tiga Jerri, The Outback Rudy, Pulau Tiga Rupert, Pearl Islands Tina, winner of The Outback Mogo Mogo Tribe Colby, The Outback Jenna Morasca, winner of The Amazon Kathy, Marquesas Lex, Africa Richard, winner of Pulau Tiga Shii Ann, Thailand
I might tune into this just to see my boy Rudy smack the sh out of that annoying two-timing Long Island bitch Jerri.
Conspicuous by their absence are Elisabeth from the Outback and Colleen from Pulau Tiga, but of course, Elisabeth has that resident ditz gig on The View and Colleen was never really comfortable in front of the camera. I like how they put Rudy and Rupert in the same tribe. Should be fun.
This should be a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to it. Rudy and Rupert indeed. Great bringing back scoundrels and scumbags like Jerri and Rob Marinaro.
Shii-ann makes it but Johnny Fairplay doesn't? CRIMINAL!!!!! seeing Rob (not Boston Rob) and Johnny trying to f*** with everybody's minds for 39 days would be great great great TV. still, should be the greatest survivor ever.
http://www.survivorfever.net/s8_cast_tribes.html That first tribe is in big trouble. The other two are strong, with Mogo Mogo the favorites, I'd say.
I heard he's busy lobbying for a job with either WWE or NWA/TNA, so perhaps he (like Elisabeth) wasn't available. Regarding his future in wrestling, he'll probably fail miserably, considering he was floundering in independent promotions before Survivor. If either wrestling promotion picks him up, I'll bet it's to milk as much quick $$$ as they can before they bury his character. As usual, I'll probably only watch the first episode, one of the middle episodes, and the end.
I don't know. Mogo Mogo has too many alpha males, plus Kathy never liked taking a back seat. could be trouble. I think the tribe that has the best chance of working together is Chapera. They could be strongest early. Predictions on a winner? I'd say Tina or Kathy, because they're smart enough to stick around but not strong enough to get voted out. Nobody will think to vote them out until it's too late (again in Tina's case). Besides Johnny Fairplay, Brian (the porn guy) was entertaining. Any others you wished were here?
I saw Jenna from the Amazon in www.piecesofass.com tonight Amazing freaking monologue....it was about being on the show and how she used being a girl to her advantage.
But all the surviors knew each from watching previous shows, they will know about the other guys much better than the previous series. Tina won't pull off another one since everyone knew how she masterminded the whole thing with Colby. I missed the gay dude and that blond bitch from Africa.
the only one they know nothing about is rupert because his episode aired while they were filming all-stars. nobody knows him yet.
According to a friend who's into reality TV much much more than I, Jeff Probst genuinely despises Johnny Fairplay, more than any other Survivor contestant. Though of course, I'm not sure if that influenced the casting at all.
Kelly from Season 1. With Susan also there, that would be fun viewing. Which of these "all-stars" was eliminated earliest on their respective show? Shii-Ann?
Shii-Ann and the Rob-father were each the seventh person voted out. And regarding Johnny Fairplay ... the fact that Probst doesn't like him helps make for good TV. conflict makes the show good, not one big love fest with Probst and best-buddy Colby.
Interesting. Rupert might or might not last that long because he was the unknown. Anyway, the contestants will watch out for the well-known ones. I think the winner will be someone who did not stand out in the previous episode or stand out as dumb or easily manuiplated. They will think they know who they were, but their real persoanlities might get edit out for TV viewing. The merge will also be the X-factor.... someone will reunite with their old alliances from the previous episode. The old and new loyalities will cross path....
also remember that alot of these people from different shows know each other from survivor reunions ... so unlike previous seasons, most of these people probably have some sort of relationship going in. wonder if there were any alliances in place before they even got off the plane. also, I read that probst said there was going to be A LOT of twists. These people know the game more than anyone and the story I read said they'll be doing everything they can to keep them on their toes. So don't expcet Probst and Burnett to be playing fair. Shoudl be fun.
New England vs. Carolina in the Super Bowl??? It's official, I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to Survivor after the Super Bowl than I am to the game itself.
I've been slipped a copy of the "Jenna Lewis Video"...Holy moly. I didn't know this existed until today, and apparently it's for sale on the internet. I know she was always harping about needing the money as a single mom, but is she that desperate?? And I've never seen such a low-key "celebrity" tape...usually these things at least make Page Six or E! News Daily...what's up with that? I'm praying a "Boston Rob and Big Tom" tape never surfaces.
http://www.realitytvworld.com/index/articles/story.php?s=2638 didn't she turn down something like a half mil to appear in playboy after the first survivor? someone's trying desperately to cling to their 15 minutes
