Maybe I'm just blind, but have any of the releases given a timetable for Chinger's return? He's gonna miss "his" night (8/3) isn't he?

Not that I've seen, they just said out for an "extended period".

No, I'm wondering that too. That was the first question I asked. What the heck is an "extended period"?!

I think its the amount of time you're out when you get an extended hamstring.

Sounds like a safe way of saying "we're not going to rush him back next time".

Yeah, I think they don't want to say a time frame due to the fact that they don't want the fans to freak out. :p Or put undue pressure on Ching.

Why are they depriving us of one of our great joys in life? Just because we're freaked out over all the "other dramas" currently playing out?

Sorry, I forgot to mention waking up at 2-3 a.m for about a week writhing in pain, feeling like I was being stabbed in the back of the leg. Then, 600 mg of ibuprofen.

I should have been a time of surgery assessment....so they should have said something today you'd think.

i read an article that said they would assess it after the surgery

it would be hard to guess a timetable for something like that since everyone reacts differently

my best guess is they will wait until he's recovering a bit more, hopefully we will hear something in a week or so

I saw one article that alluded to a timeframe of 8-12 weeks post surgery as a "standard" timeline....it made it clear that it definitely depends. But it said that if Brian returns this year, it's likely to be only for the last few games of the regular season.

You can certainly be sure it's not anytime in August.

8-12 plus probably some added time to baby it this time so he doesnt undo the surgery, and he has to get fit during this too

I think we'll be lucky if we see him in Sept.
