that was your guys? awesome major props! A few other random thoughts: the AO versus Sams Army stuff got way too much play, we're fans of the same team, no reason to smack talk one versus the other great energy in the stadium loved the sea of red and the volume.
atmosphere was amazing in the north end. Nothing could bring us down. I felt we were on beat and had our timing down fairly well considering the size of the section. Should have probably had all of the drummers together, sometimes half the section was singing one song while the other half was up to something completely different. And I don't know why everyone decided to stand on the seats. If we all stood on the bleachers we would have had the same view point, but I wasn't able to jump. Not going to complain however, considering the passion that everyone brought, I definitely shed a few tears after Bradley scored 20 feet in front of us in the first half. That was the best feeling in my life I've ever experienced.
For me, that euphoric moment was the 2nd goal. I remember all of us in my part of the supporters section screaming "Go for it!" when Bradley got the ball with all that open field. When that ball went in, and we knew we were about to win 2-0 AGAIN, I think that moment will forever live with me.

I thought it was a decent section overall. The brass was a major upgrade to the overall section logistics as it kept large sections on rythm and on the right song. The OSU drum thing...i guess i missed it because i dont recall seeing a large druming circle in the stands. Either that or i was just too close to the bass drum in the center of the section near the brass band. K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid. When we stuck to the simple stuff people already knew we were VERY effiecent and loud. Leadership - still a small beef for me, it happened quite a few times where parts of the supporters end were singing different songs at the same time. It was usually coming between the center group with the brass and one bass drum and the lower rightside of the section. Other than that it was better than i expected. Pre and Post games were tits (other than the weather) and we got all our stuff inside. Security was awesome to us. And everyone knew right away in the 92nd minute to sing "dos a cero"..i think 1000 people started that song at the same time. Nice.
Agreed. I was behind a group of brass players, their Tuba man was Capt America. Those guys were pure class. Saw some of those OSU drummers outside the stadium, just drumming...didn't see them anywhere else. The longer the song, the harder it will stick and less chance of it being sung. GUARANTEED. That's just how the way it goes. I noticed that too. People made sure to latch onto what was being started up, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I finally understand why the drum policy was institued and the great benefits that came with it. There were several Mexican fans that had to go back to their cars and drop off their drums in order to enter the stadium. Many TV reports showed Mexican supporters/fans enjoying themselves before the game, chanting at the TV and drumming. No drumming to be found inside, unless you were under the roof!
No, there was a huge drum over in a mexican section along the sideline near the NE corner (near the corner flag to the immediate left of SA/AO sections).

I am so glad I was not imagining that. I thought I heard "DOS A CERO please meet your party at gate A32". It was hilarious. There was so much Mexican media there, I know they heard it.
Somewhere, someone published the photo I snapped of Wonder Woman (FCDallasAddie) and Captain America. It exists, kind of like Bigfoot ... but finding an authentic photo may be hard, kind of like Bigfoot.
Did anyone hear the page for Carlos Bocanegra at CMH around 2:30 PM or so on the 12th? We did! We saw him, Pearce, and Beasley walking to their gate, shook their hands, congratulated them! One of my group started weeping, but I won't tell you who it was, only that I, personally, would weep in the presence of Tim Howard, but that's where it ends.
The brass band was fantastic for helping people on the ends of the section to pick up on the tune quicker. If we have one of those then spread the bass drums across the section the timing will only get better. Do we have a 60th minute tradition? Seems most club games I've been to the supporters have a 60th minute song/chant...just wondering. The section gets bigger each time 2001-2005-2009...gotta love it!
I know there are a lot of people for, and a lot of people against this... but... Santos are playing Guadalajara right now, and they have trumpets and drums doing the Florida State war chant. It sounds pretty legit....
