has everyone else who ordered in the presale, in the regular sale, or in the supporters' section gotten their tickets? it's so far away that i wouldn't have thought twice about it, but i'm suddenly starting to get worried, even with a confirmation number. if they're sending out some, why aren't they sending out others???
take a deep breathe. ahhhhhh. that's nice. take another deep breathe. ahhhhhh. that's very nice. don't start worrying - YET. It's still very early. You'll receive your tickets in time unless you're from California which the USSF is banned from sending tickets via US mail and must use a wagon train which may take several extra weeks if the weather is not severe. Seriously, don't worry. If in a couple of weeks, you haven't received your tickets - place a call or make a post to some of the most powerful people in soccer (not me BigDog/Richi)!
I just received my ticket (section s01) in the mail today...that wagon train must have traveled straight through without any stops I ordered the ticket last Monday and it took about a week for the order to be processed and shipped. Patience, grasshopper.
Since I'll be traveling with in an underage young lady, I'm to hear that the proposed gathering spot is family friendly.
Iggy's is all ages. Murphy's is 21 and over. Check the website links. Please note correct link for Iggy's is: http://www.iggyssportsgrill.com
English translation is: "Since I'll be traveling with an underage young lady, I'm glad to hear that ...."
Ticket arrived by mail today! Only 8 days...frankly, I'm very impressed...a lot faster than Ticketmaster...
From the picture of the stadium, the supporters section appears to be right above the endline with a really nice angle on the field. Everyone should feel right on top of the action. Could make for a really vocal and involved home crowd and hopefully a significant home field advantage. Go Yanks
Got back to L.A. tonight, after a week and a half out of the country, and was THRILLED to see a ticket for the game in my mailbox (thanks to a friend)!! I'll be at Iggy's on Friday, though after seeing the drink menu on the website, I'm hoping that Murphy's becomes the choice of US supporters (not a beer drinker. LOVE the hard stuff). CAN'T WAIT for June 3 & 4!!!
Murphys is small so the SL folks hoped to have a good variation of stuff for people. more places listed here as well. Enjoy! http://www.saltlakecityutah.org/nightlife.htm
This is going to be one fun event, with many of the US Supporters in the South Stands, and a rapidly growing Loyalist section in the northeast corner, the teams will hear a lot of noise at both ends of the field. (I'm hoping that we can have an atmosphere like Portland did for the Costa Rica match in the late 90s) Also looking forward to the pre-game tailgate event and meeting some of the US supporters there. I think I might do something quite special for the tailgate.
Why are the Loyalists not standing with Sam's Army??? Wouldn't that make more sense? Either way, its going to be fun.
We posed this to RSL. It is because there tickets for this match are part of there season tickets and thats where they usually are for matches. Also The "S" sections do not have access from the rest of the stadia, so they would not be able to get back to there seats for the RSL match without having to buy another ticket in "S" according to RSL. Rookie mistake IMO but lets move on to the match. Scratches his head bd
My tix arrived yesterday. I saw the envelope and I was thinking, "Why is the University of Utah sending me something?"
